I always liked it and never knew it was unpopular before I had Internet.

Worst Smiths song recorded, 4. Though it is begining to grow on me, few weeks ago it probably would have been a 2/3!

this song has been unfairly maligned!
it has an unusual but pleasing feel to it.
the backing vocal from McColl is nice too...

Decent B-side....But since it's a cover, definitely not one of the best...

Finally this song is up, come on and let your emotions out:)

The word that suits this song best si probably "Unispired" and therefore I find it quite easy to give it a 5. I thought about a four for a long time before reading the qualifications for a five but this is acctually not a poor song. It's skillfully done but, I'm sorry to say, barely decent.

6. Nothing special. I'd quite like the hear the version discussed in Songs That Saved Your Life.

Worst thing they ever recorded

But it still was good...personally the hee-haw sounding "Death At One's Elbow" is worse

I really would like to know who the Genius at WEA was that decided...hey let's tack this on to the END of The re-release of World Won't Listen...

You don't mess with the original forumla...I bet Morrissey picked that track order himself..

And it's ALREADY on $#%#@%$% Louder Than Bombs...they could have Put Draize Train on there instead

Or Jeane, or Wonderful Woman...

of course, I was just being time period specific...And Draize Train is harder to find

Well, I was speaking of Louder Than Bombs, and at the time Jeane and Wonderful Woman were very hard to find, too.
Mind, I only heard those for the first time in 1992, as well as the original This Charming Man. Up till then I thought This Charming Man sounded like the Hatful-version...

Louder Than Bombs really didn't need to put the Single Version of Hand In Glove on there either...at the Time of it's release on CD Louder Than Bombs was one of the longest single disc releases...close to 75 minutes I believe..

Ah, yes not having This Charming Man on the original issue of The Smiths was not a smart move by Rough Trade

I spent $500 getting the original single versions of This Charming Man...2-3 months later they got reissued on CD
