The Smiths feature in latest issue of Mojo - March 2008

"I would like to give Morrissey's ass a great big thumb's up!"

.........

Oh, dear. Let me rephrase that. Take two: **snap**

..........

"Hi. I'm mozmic_dancer and I approve of this photo."

No problem. I used to work as an associate editor at the Adult Video News a lifetime ago. It's the trade journal of the porn industry. Most of my work involved reviewing porn for retailers. It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it.

You may know a friend of mine who worked with AVN *PMs you* She met the Hedgehog too :p

Nevertheless, I'm rather disturbed by this photo. I don't care if it's M's arse or not. I still find the photo rather repellent despite my fondness for naughty puns/buns.

I think I am most turned off by the hairy bits at the centre. It gives the suspicion of dingleberries.

Slightly Bemused over MOJO magazine...

In the March issue theres supposed to be a twenty odd page feature on The Smiths, yes?
Well it's only the 8th of March, and I can only find the April issue in shops. What is going on! I was looking forward to that read...

I have it. A friend of mine bought it for me about 3 weeks ago.

I bought mine on Tuesday 4th March, only 4 days ago. I haven't seen the new issue in the shops yet, but I also haven't seen the March issue again. (Not that i've been actively searching for either). Hope you manage to find it :)

Re: Slightly Bemused over MOJO magazine...

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, a good read. Mike Joyce seems such a nice person! :)

I purchased said issue. I quite liked the CD "for white indie boys" particularly possessing Pete Wylie and the Mighty Wah's Seven Minutes To Midnight!

Enjoyed the piece on the Morrissey artistic persona. Although I personally think Morrissey has time off from being Morrissey. He goes to Suaid Arabia obviously. Hope he didn't take any anti-depressants with him. (Did you know Grooverider got 4 years in prison for 2grams of cannabis in Dubai? Ok its the UAE but I don't think Saudi has any more lenient rules concerning drugs!)

I assume Mojo and Word are both IPC publications. An olive branch after the NME fiasco?? Or mere marketing tools for the Greatest Hits LP? Or both??

I have it. :D

Almost didn't get it too, cause I didn't know it was out. xD Some guy infront my dad and I had it, and I could just barely see Morrissey. So of course I immediatly leaned over and asked what magazine it was, then got outta line, ran all the way over to the periodicals and grabbed it. I spent a good portion of the rest of the day just hugging it and then reading it on the train. D:

March 2008 issue is worth spending money because of the articles and a bonus CD.

Many thanks to DJKorupted who posted the scans:

Thanks DJKorupted for the scans. But that's not the issue I meant... I saw the Mojo issue with The Smiths on the cover a few days ago in a store, I usually immediately buy any such issue, but my budget is a bit thin right now... :( (although this will change if I get a job that I'm up for, I'm going to another interview on Saturday) So I need to know if it's worth buying...I suspect that the article will reveal nothing I haven't read before, and that the pictures are also be the ones I've already seen many times, etc. Their CDs are usually very good, but it's also possible that I already own most of the tracks. What is on the CD?

Interesting tracklist - not predictable as I thought it could be! I only know/have 4 songs from that list - and they are good.
