Morrissey at Culture Club concert - Hollywood Bowl - Aug 25, 2023

This was posted on dimeadozen.org, a file sharing site for concert recordings. According to a commenter:

"I was there too! Very good show and Lulu was amazing. Morrissey sat in a garden box right in front of me for about 10 minutes until he was brought up closer."

I can't find anything on social media, but I'm confident @FWD will find something to verify.

The official Culture Club IG posted a nice clip with Lulu singing To Sir, With Love:

Only one reference on top of the above so far:

Will keep an eye out Larry.

There is something about Boy George that I really can't stand. Anyone else get that impression? Can't put my finger on it.

Boy George is ok really.
I’d go the other way and say that there is something about Lulu that I can’t stand.
I’ve always found her rather annoying, and watching the footage from above, she yaps on and on.

I’m assuming that Morrissey was actually
there to see Lulu. And wow, she looks great.

No. He’s had a troubled, often drug fuelled past, but he’s ok.

A bit of a media magpie, but he can sing alright. Of good Irish stock too.

It’s quite difficult to believe that CC have only ever released 6 studio albums 🤷🏻‍♂️
Probably spent more time split up than actually being together.
Interesting to note Jon Moss is out of the band as well.
I think he got kicked out on their 2018 tour when I seen them at Newcastle.
I only got tickets as Tom Baily was the support act😎

saw lulu in my hometown at the tall ships race, still got it voice wise and great for her age,she has two voices as in when she is back home in scotland she is very scottish, when she is anywhere else she has a very soft accent.

She’s got two voices 😃👍
Reminds me of an old boss a few years ago. As posh as they come (so she thought) get her anywhere near Northumbria with ciggies and drink and she was as geordie as they come.

Great that Lulu performed To sit with love 😍

Do you mean Boy "convicted of assault and false imprisonment of a male escort" George?

It's amazing that - in the UK at least - Boy George has largely escaped with his mainstream career and reputation intact, whilst Morrissey (who is guilty of nothing more than some dodgy comments) has seen his completely flushed down the toilet. Interesting how the the whole 'cancelling' process works.

They made some really great singles back in the 80s. DYWTHM and KC are both truly excellent.

I know it's complicated as far as M is concerned and I'm not saying that the following is right or something that M should or will do, but I think those who are 'forgiven' by the press and public are those who 1) Issue a public apology 2) Are able to (rightly or wrongly) blame their errant behaviour on drugs/alcohol and now claim to be clean and sober, so drawing a clear line between past behaviour and present 3) Are seen to have made some effort to make amends. John Galliano springs to mind, whose words were far worse than anything M has ever said......

It's baffling that doing (most of) his time and apologising is all it took for Boy George to be forgiven. What he did was awful. Nobody else who did that kind of thing and apologised has been forgiven.

Always got the impression if you visited his house he's the sort of person who has a specific chair for his cat and if you sit in it he'll ask you to move
