Morrissey/Smiths books suggestions...

there a quite a few on sale and i wonder i anyone can suggest me the good ones...

The essential read are:

The Severed Alliance - Johnny Rogan
Songs That Saved Your Life - Simon Goddard
Peepholism - Jo Slee

Unfortunately Peepholism is very rare and if you find it on eBay you have to spend at least £75 ( if you're lucky slightly less).
I'm so glad to find it from local library last week.
It is listed on catalogue, but had been missing and finally back.

I got my Peepholism for 75p! I was amazed. I also got James Dean Is Not Dead from the same second-hand book store for 25p. . It is a truly amazing book. I aslo recommend Saint Morrissey.

Question about books of the smiths and/or Moz

For the forum:

I am interested in buying a book about the Smiths and/or Morrissey. In your opinion, which you believe that it would be the best book about the biography of the group and of Morrissey.

I have listened that Simon Goddard is or it was the biographer authorized by the group, but I would like to know your opinion.

Well, if you want to start out with a good one, I'd reccomend Saint Morrissey by Mark Simpson.

everyone will shoot me for this, but Rogans books are well worth a read,
as Simon Godards, the songs that saved yer life
however most books are about Morrissey's Smiths days

a good book about Morrissey's solo career time must hit the bookshelves
yet, but there are good photobooks about Morrissey
Peepholism is a must have for every fan

I've recently read "Morrissey" by Pat Ride. It's a nice book, not a proper biography though, but interesting. It was published in 2004, but written before, it doens't include You Are The Quarry.

but the book is written by Pat Reid...i almost sure you made this short
mistake by being hasty, i very aware of that problem, so agian, pardon
