Morrissey: reddit - new feature test

A new feature to test out:

A Morrissey: reddit community has been created on reddit.com. Reddit is a 'source for what's new and popular on the web'. The Morrissey: reddit top links widget is now displayed on the forums main page.

Submit Morrissey/Smiths related news links, images, videos and vote up items that you want to see on the main page. The reddit system does require a new login but it's pretty simple to setup.

I see this complementing the current submission system which works well but is not perfect. Hardcore users can see more of what is upcoming and also help decide more what will be on the main page. A lot of news links are posted to the forums and although I get help from other mods/users, some links are missed. We'll see how it works out. Let me know any ideas/suggestions.

Is there anyway to hide it at all? So one can only see it if one wants to?

Can you just not scroll down to it?

If you use Firefox, you can add the NoScripts add on and block the reddit feature.

Other browsers may be able to do the same thing. I just don't use them.

Does anybody actually use this Reddit feature? I find it a distraction.

Sometimes, but it's a bit bugging - it never changes and it clutters up the screen. I can see how it could be useful if there was more going on though, ie when the new album comes out.
