Both forum and mainpage's Morrissey Drama of the Year 2007 poll is dominated by NME fiasco, no one in particular suggested to have runner up poll.
For some reasons she isn't around (hope she isn't ill), but time is running out and once again I post this.
Here's the runner up poll nominees:

1) Morrissey turns down Eurovision Song contest (Jan 16)

2) Morrissey picks his grave ["Hollywood Forever" cemetery] (Jan 31 and more news again in June)

3) Cancellations/postponements of USA shows [and subsequent conspiracy theories] including MSG, LA Palladium ["plumbing incident"], and final Miami show (June/July, Oct 2&4, and Nov 8 )

4) Norfolk VA show -- Morrissey's Madonna remarks: "I wouldn't be surprised if she [Madonna] made that African boy into a coat and wore him ... for 15 minutes, and then threw it away." (July 9)
http://www.morrissey-solo.com/articles/07/07/12/1620214.shtml

5) Is Morrissey retiring (?) saga (July/Aug)
[NME article July 11th ...related TTY Aug 22nd press release...Moz addresses NME about it on TTY Aug 28]

6) Moz turns down Smiths reunion tour for $75 million (Aug 22)

7) Season ticket issuing for LA, NYC, & London [incl. Moz statement denying involvement in the way tickets are sold/priced: TTY Aug 28] (Aug-Dec)
http://true-to-you.net/morrissey_news_070828_01

8) Morrissey endorses Chivas USA soccer team - spotted at game in Chivas USA jersey and then wears it again onstage in Tijuana (Sept 13)
http://www.morrissey-solo.com/articles/07/09/14/1612255.shtml

9) Moz remarks in San Francisco that he wants an artificial womb and then to inseminate himself with his own sperm (Sept 23)
http://tour.morrissey-solo.com/tour/07/09/23/1616231.shtml

by anon
"Later he said something similar to "Did you know that medical science has figured out how to make an artificial womb in a women's stomach? Which means, of course, that she can have a baby. It follows that they can put an artificial womb into a man's stomach. Well, I popped my name down on the list. In fact, I am the list. And I am going to inseminate myself with my own sperm so there can be absolutely no doubt who the father is."
and Mel torment said
"I would've lain awake all night pondering Mozzer's bizarre joke about donating his own sperm for his artificial pregnancy. After the show, as my friend John from Manchester and IMAET fame said, you know Morrissey is having a good time if he is talking utter nonsense. Therefore, Morrissey must've been having the time of his life!" (Special thanks to vicarinatutugal )

10) LA Palladium: Moz fueled by mouth invader kiss on stage (Oct 01)
http://www.morrissey-solo.com/articles/07/10/04/1649214.shtml

11) Kristeen Young ousted from the tour after her "heady" remarks (Oct 26)

12) Halloween show in Baltimore featuring lads in loincloths while Moz is fully dressed, including a jacket (Oct 31)

13) Jerry Finn [not Visconti] will be producer of Moz's next studio album and Polydor/Decca contract (Nov/Dec)

14) Mysterious loss of Alain and Gary (all 2007)

15) Team Morrissey reading Solo, and Merck sending submissions directly to davidt (Nov 16 - Dec)

Thank you very much for your contributions and taking time to vote. :)

Yes, the links don't work.

I'm still going for the "artifical wombs" remark. That comment alone would have been worth the ticket price for me...soo funny.

Close second is the fact that camp Moz now started to correspond directly with Solo. Finally!

It's hard to choose. . .a lot of these are likely more -solo drama than Moz drama, really. . .so I had to choose the Madonna comments since I know they got some press and I found it personally rather shocking/disappointing.

*turns off LP&H sig*

Alain is still in camp Morrissey, and he parted with the lads after the
Heineken Dublin gig june 5th 2004

Many have written here , that Alain has been in the studio in LA with
Morrissey this year [but we have no 100 % conformation or denial]

my drama runner up was Merck using David T's site, to communicate with
Morrissey's fanbase, and the media a bit [ the media knows solo is Morrisseys best and complete website, no offence to Ms Riley's TTY]

I was looking through Spin Magazine's year-end issue. They had a timeline of 2007's most significant musical happenings. There, at the end of Oct., was the "Kristeen Young thrown off Morrissey Tour" story.

Whatever.

Wow! KY made SPIN? Good for her. I'll have to look for that.

*Complete hijack* Anesth. did you see Sweeney Todd? I thought of you when I saw it.

^^^But of course. A bunch of us went on Christmas Eve. My husband (no stranger to teased hair and a bit of the shiny stuff) nearly walked out, he hates Sondheim so much.

I already posted in the "Last Film You Saw" thread, but I don't mind repeating that I loooved it. I sorta got over J. Depp a few years ago (fan since the late '80s), but he was absolutely magnificent. Jeez, I was in a very happy Gothy swoon the whole evening. Great sets, great costumes, great art direction, great theatrics, great gore, and pretty, pretty people (and that last shot - tremendous). What more could you ask for?

I'm going to take one of my oldest friends to see it for his birthday. He's this big Italian guy who I actually got into eyeliner and a skirt way back when (he's never really forgiven me for that night).

Did you care for it?

Bump!

Voting closed in 5 hours time, only 55 people voted which is very disheartening.
