Quite terrible.

The song is quite good, sad it is in the middle of an unintersting drum solo and an awful piece of music

The drum solo is just there to extend the playing time of the album that comes in at about 33 minutes. Once the song actually starts, I have to admit that I like it. "Sad to say how once I was in love with you." A 7 from me.

im gonna give this a 9 based soley on the ending of the song...

I've said it before, but that fast part at the end is too good for words. Southpaw as a whole has the most punk rock feel out of all morrissey's albums. Rocks...

The actual song part of the song is pretty darn good. . .it swings, good lyric. The intro, though, jayzis. I had to give it a 6, though w/o the intro it might go as high as 8.

I hate that there's such an annoying intro. cuz other than that, i REALLY like this song. I'm torn as to what I should rate it. I'll think about it, and come back to it later. hmmph.

does he do that drum intro live? god, its horrible! the actual song part is great though. 6

A good, if minor, song sullied by a ridiculously indulgent, anti-Morrissey, drum solo intro. (I remember thinking when I first heard it, 'Oh gawd, it's come to THIS, has it? Next thing you know he'll be eating meat.') Best line: "Everyone here is sick to the tattoo of you." A generous 7.

The drum solo has never bothered me. If you look at the lyrics though, the way it affects most people might be intentional? It builds tension at least. This one is worth waiting for. I gave a 10. It's one of my favorites.

You are most welcome... I have a little "Pigsty" here somewhere too, and an electronic thesaurus singing "How Soon Is Now?" and a comedian called Tony Hawks singing "Girlfriend In A Coma" to the tune of "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" from a BBC Radio 4 comedy show called I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, in fact you can have that now as it's to hand...

I love it. And I loved the drum intro live on the 1997 tour; it's just too bad that it was only an intro for "Maladjusted," I think, instead of for the rest of "The Operation."

Yet you give it a 7? Wouldn't a song that you love warrant higher than that?
