A brooding, shimmering, atmospheric beauty!
It's on compositions like these that Alain Whyte shows he can create music which is as good as anything Johnny Marr ever used to come up with it. I think Alain used to name this song as his favourite.

Definitely one of his best b-sides. Shame it was marooned on a single no-one bought.. :(

I've always found something a bit awkward in the melody of this song, especially in the way Morrissey sings the title. It's pretty minor by his b-side standards but there are still some good moments to it. I'll give it a 7.

It's like an exhausted epic. Like a great big, 24-hour-TV-miniseries of a song that just said, "enh," to itself and lay down to rest. I love that about it and gave it a 9. By all rights it should be a Moz classic.

I never heard that. Well if so I'm glad Alain appreciates his own work. :)

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Great build-up, great payoff, just brilliant all the way through.

Exactly.

Vastly underrated, and criminally unknown.

Exactly.

A 10 of course. Perfect in every imaginable way. I don't know what to say about it specifically because I adore every note, every line, every little touch, and every second of it.

a 6

if I listen to Roy's maybe a few times a year, I click on STOP after
its over, so basicly I can't much tell about this song, I only listeded
to it a few times, so that means a 5.5, which is a 6 when I was in school.

[but he played it live, if I remember vaguely I have it on a boot, or did
I take the wrong pills again?]

Sorry, not sure which show this is from
http://www.sendspace.com/file/3m259d
It was only played twice so it shouldn't be that hard to determine if this is from Arizona or not, though I recall it was also on the setlist for a later date in Germany but skipped, so I hope that means even if Moz didn't make it a regular like Lost, he didn't consider it a complete failure live.

I'm giving it a 6/10. Its just above average.
