Let's compile our own Morrissey/Smiths Top 100 by rating all 232 Moz/Smiths-songs.
And instead of chronologically, let's do them alphabetically.

We're halfway through!
We started our quest on April 10th, which means that we will finish just before the end of the year :)
Thanks all for voting!

I really like the music here, but of course it's missing the Morrissey vocal that would have made it absolutely perfect. I really wish Morrissey had bothered to add vocals. Such a pity... I give it a 7, since it is a nice composition, but oh what could have been. :(

10. this may be the best song that steve was ever involved with

The music is great, and it's even better live.
I gave it a 9 because Oscillate Wildly is a 10, even though I miss Moz's vocals in that one, but not in Money Changes Everything.

To think that this song is credited as Marr/Morrissey. Puah. It's Marr, Rourke & Joyce here ;)

I love it - even without the vocals. A solid 9 from me.

Here's what Simon Goddard wrote:
"Morrissey had no involvement with the track whatsoever (bar its portentous title), though claimed a joint composer credit. As Stephen Street speculates, his estrangement may well have been a reflection on the return of John Porter himself. ..."

a 5

Marr has gotten enough space in songs for freewheeling, this song is
therefore unnecessary, like 'the draize train',and 'Oscillate Wildly'...
A Smiths song needs voice

I knew that. But after all we're on morrissey-solo.
Even the shittiest Morrissey solo songs get a few tens, but if there's a great tune without Moz vocals, it means nothing.
But i knew that.

This one gets an 8 from me only because someone made a mix tape for me and this song was on there.

I really love this song. I know it doesn't have a vocal but I think that's what makes it so amazing. It doesn't need it, it's quality and it stands on its own. Oh, Johnny Marr, I love you.

Meh....... Ok as far as instrumentals go I suppose.
