East-West (Herman's Hermits)
Drive In Saturday (David Bowie)
Redondo Beach (Patti Smyth)

I'm too lazy to look for any others

If you have any query about Smiths/Morrissey's songs, live history etc you can look up http://www.passionsjustlikemine.com

All the lyrics of Smiths/Morrissey's songs are listed including cover versions. :)

Nothing Rhymed is a cover version of Gilbert O'Sullivan, isn't it?

*Elvis Presley - (Marie's The Name Of) His Latest FLame
*Elvis Presley - (Now And Again There's A) Fool Such As I
Frank Sinatra - My Way
*Gary Glitter - Rock And Roll Part 2
Gilbert O'Sullivan - Nothing Rhymed
Herman's Hermits - East West
*James - What's The World
*Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze
*Jonny Tillotson - Send Me The Pillow You Dream On
Magazine - A Song From Under The Floorboards
New York Dolls - Human Being
New York Dolls - Subway Train
New York Dolls - Trash
Patti Smith - Redondo Beach
Raymonde - No One Can Hold A Candle To You

The Jam - That's Entertainment
Timi Yuro - Interlude

I've omitted some due to the lack of recordings. Recordings definitely exist of all of the above (whether in part, or in whole), and the ones with the asterisks are Smiths recordings, soundchecks, unreleased, or other.

Yeah, I was just going to say... I have it on an old Sire Just Say... compilation from the oh dear god the late 80s. Back when I was freaking young.

I have to go puke now, but you can download that song from Napster... they sell it there.

Anybody know who's (Morrissey's, EMI??) idea it was for That's Entertainment to show up on the Suedehead compilation?? They should have just used the KROQ version of Sing Your Life...EMI did release that in the UK right?

I think the next person Morrissey gives the mic to should ask him to sing "Street Life" again...just to hear his response

OK, what? He covered an a-Ha song? That is the grand irony of my life. Where, when? I'll have to track that one down.

Well, two of those are a bit tenuous - if you can track down a boot of The Move Festival, he sings "England my country, the home of the free, such miserable weather" at the beginning. He sings My Way at the beginning of the MEN gig, and the A-Ha song was sung at the beginning of the Kristiansand, Norway gig. All details can be found on Passionsjustlikemine.com.

Thanks, just found it... and information on a show recorded by WXRT in Chicago and broadcast on their "11th Hour" the following year. I will have to request they rebroadcast it, that's my favorite radio station.
