Good inspired cover but it isn't a classic in anyone but the Doll's hands.

Well...haven't heard it really, but we were treated to it in Stirling last year and it was just sensational - from memory the 2nd or 3rd last song of a quite superb show, with Boz on top form on this one.

So, on this basis I havent voted - loved the original though!

I listened to this a few times and wasn't really impressed. just seemed to drag on a bit.
anyway, bring on the next one!
must be nearly time to start all the songs beginning with 'I'. expect there are loads; there's usually about 2 or 3 per album. songs beginning with 'I' or 'The' must make up a pretty hefty chunk (25%) of the back catalogue...

you guys dont like it cos you guys dont even like the dolls. what if he covered a new order song i bet that shit would score off the charts here in this shithole!

i love you guys!

Yes, there's 22 of them, starting today :)

An excellent cover choice, since the lyrics suit modern Morrissey to a tee. I really like it, although it does go on a bit too long. I still give it an 8. Once again, Moz shows his superior taste in covers.

Well, the songs that begin with 'The' should not be ordered by 'The'. This really bothers me!!! They should be alphabetized by the second word. 'The Last of the Famous...' should fall under 'L', not 'T'. And the I's were mis-alphabetized too. For example, 'I've Changed My Plea...' should fall after 'It's Hard To Walk Tall...' And you don't include parentheses in your alphabetizing, so '(I'm) The End Of The Family Line' should have been with the E's.

Yes, these things do keep me up at night! ;)

4/10. Lets be honest...... its poop!

I can't believe I'm disagreeing with La Comtesse! Well, it's a minor disagreement. Even without hearing the original, this song to me sticks out as a sore thumb as NOT a Mozzer composition. The Dolls sweet & tender transsexual slang such as "ain't" sounds really forced and unMozlike. And I don't know about going ahead and finding myself a saint if I don't think Moz is good enough. He doesn't eat meat, used to not fornicate, is not a druggie, etc. As he protested once before, he's practically a saint (if you ignore the way he treats people in his professional life). But it makes perfect sense for David Johannson to pout about if you don't like it go ahead and find yourself a saint, etc.

I have to say, I usually skip the b-side recorded version when it comes up on the player, but this song absolutely ROCKS as a live version and I could not get enough of it. The best part is Boz boppin' around on the sax. I was very sad when they dropped it from the setlist.:(
