My Brothers Old Tape I found - Is it Morrissey?

Hi, I was cleaning out our loft in my mums old house where we used to live as kids, I found a load of old tapes that my brother had from the late 70's. He is older than me so was quite into punk and new wave and all that. Anyway, to cut this short, I found a tape called "The Nosebleeds - summer 1978" I listened to it and he obviously bought it from someone that records gigs as the quality is terrible. But then there is this song where the guy sounds just like Morrissey (well, slightly higher voice) I think he is singing something like this in one of the songs, don't quote me though!

"You have no flair, flair, flair, oh I'm ready for the electric chair"

I did a quick search on the internet and ended up here. Does anyone have any more information about this, could it be Morrissey singing?

Cheers in advance
Andy

Newbie you are a MORON and you CAN quote me!

You are a grade 1 idiot newbie, but thanks for stopping by!

Re: Presumably this is a serious question

in which case the answer is yes, and you best find someone who can clean that tape up sharpish as, likely as not, that's the only recording of Mozzer singing with The Nosebleeds. You'd be minted on the old ebay.
And ignore the idiots slagging you off for being new to the site. Some fans can't stomach the fact that some of us are still discovering Morrissey; apparently if you were too young to attend gigs in the 80's then you're not allowed to be a fan.
If you are serious, then what a find (i'm excersising caution here though, because at times i'm profoundly gullible).

PLEASE SHARE! THIS IS THE ULTIMATE MORRISSEY RARITY!

Erase over it now

It sounds like junk. If you can't erase it, break it somehow and throw it away. Tapes are so lame-o now that we all have iPods. Throw all his tapes away. Your brother will be so happy your cleaning up for him.

Presumably you're not being serious?

I once found a wax cylinder in a charity shop which had a full length version of 'I Want A Boy For My Birthday' by The Smiths on it, but I threw it away cos the drumming was crap.

It's c***s like you that put people off posting rarities here. You almost scared off Mr.Reynolds once (nice going shithead) and now you're casting doubt on what could be one of the greatest Morrissey discoveries ever

Here is a clip

I don't really know what I'm doing with mp3s, but I managed to hold the MIC next to the tape player, and here is a clip of the Electric chair song.

Mmm

It's a bit indistinctive, but that's definitely our Moz. I'd know that sweet sweet voice anywhere.

If anybody is stupid enouh to fall for this hoax (other than an Irishman) i'd be really suprised!

But wonders never cease

Re: Geez, now there's someone with too much time on their hands...

Are there anymore Nosebleed songs on the tape? If so can u please upload them?

The youngest was the.. biggest moron, the youngest was the cretin...

Can I have your email address? I'll pay you for a copy of the tape.

I thought the clip was pretty good actually! Can't wait to hear more! It's people like you that discourage others from posting these excellent rarities.
