Howdo again.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Chris Donald and Simon Thorpe of Viz last week (on the occasion of their 25th Anniversary - there are a couple of cracking books out to celebrate the landmark) and managed to get in a couple of Moz-related questions and comments.

My friend Richard had pointed out that some time ago they had a Morrissey is a TWAT issue (issue 53, June/July 1992 - Morrissey - Pop Genius or TWAT?) and I wanted to kno, bearing in mind the recent appearances if they were fans. Chris Donald said he was. I asked if there had been any attempt to stop the recent 'Oor Morrissie" strip, bearing in mind the cover "What's Up Morrissey's Arse?" (Issue 136 June/July 2004) - they said of course not.

I said to them that one of the funniest bits I can ever remember was in the 100 things that make Britain Great section also in issue 136, wher they had a Picture of Morrissey with comically enlargened chin and the quote "I'd give anything to hear the reassuring sound of a Special Brew can full of piss rolling about under the seat of a train to Lowestoft" signed "Morrissey, Guadalajara Boys Boxing Club" - Chris said he agreed that that had been a moment of inspiration.
