Default Obsession

On the subject of obsession and travelling to all the Morrissey shows, can I just say that so much of the public at large seem to be obsessed with really incredibly mundane obsessions - I would cite golf as THE best example - that I really can't see anything wrong with travelling the world experiencing cultures of all the continents, perhaps passing the time of day with people with a similar interest and then seeing world's best lyricist and performer sing his own songs.

That's a long sentence.

I've heard during the last week of people who go to see golf players doing their warming up before their competitions. I thought watching golf was bad enough - but watching the limbering up?????! And now someone has mentioned that they spent the weekend listening to golf on the radio. What? Can it be that interesting? I, however, will be listening to Morrissey in conversation with Janice Long before I go to bed tonight. That's what radio is for.
