It's based on fact. In the 1970s, the English National Front used to try and recruit kids at youth clubs and have their own discos which were ways of tempting kids into being brainwashed by racist propaganda. The song takes a (hopefully) pitiful view of a young lad who falls for NF dogma. Morrissey sees the protagonist as a victim of hate, one of life's losers - he's sympathetic to the boy but not his cause. It's very clever but open to misinterpretation.

Thanks Bill. You rock. You made this simple for me to understand.

So here goes another question: Why do people say, "for the likes of you" or "for the likes of rage against the machine"??????? key words: "for the likes of."

ie: i've prepared this meal for the likes of rudolph valentino and michael jackson.

why not just say, "i've also prepared this meal for rudolph valention and michael jackon?"

please explain bill. thanks. you are a great help.
