Fantastic, thank you very much!!!

Thanks for this. Downloading now.
To those that have heard it - how many of these are 'new'? Versions that we haven't heard before?

I've heard about half before, but the instrumentals are the surprises for me. Blimey. Someone is not going to like this.

Just about all of them, this is magnificent!!!
Find of the century, I am speechless... :guitar:

Disco Dancer is simply gorgeous, Girlfriend is kind of a reggae track, Rusholme is totally different...
All tracks are different to the ones we have known and loved for the last 23 to 27 years, perhaps with the exception of Frankly (with horns) and Paint A Vulgar Picture which I believe are the same ones that were leaked recently.

Happy does not begin to describe how I feel, I am ECSTATIC!!!

Brilliant - thankyou.

I'm surprised at the quality of these recordings. I don't believe The Smiths would have needed to make demo's, certainly for their later stuff so why are these so well made. Studio guide tracks? Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm sure that when a certain Canadian wakes up in a few hours he will know... he knows everything.

Wow wow wow wow wow wow
thank you thank you thank you friend
this is the booooooooooooooooooooooomb !!!!!!!

If any more of this stuff leaks out then Morrissey & Marr will be kicking themselves for not bringing out a proper boxed set of remasters, demos and live cuts...

Absolutely. Its a real gem - it's almost as if the band are jamming in the studio, and Morrissey is making it up as they go along. Just beautiful. Beautiful.

Christmad has come early MANY THANKS

and the best post of all time goes to........motorways!

Thanks so much for these. Can't believe they've taken 25-30 years to get to us

Have a great christmas.

The Queen Is Dead sounds to be the same take as the one on QID but unedited.
Reel Around The Fountain sounds like the Troy Tate v1 demo but with slightly more of the bit at the beginning before the drums kick in.
Frankly Mr Shankly, the Shoplifters instrumental, and Paint A Vulgar picture are what we've had before.

Wonderful stuff, truly a revelation.

The drums on Ask sound like machine guns - as Moz sings about bombs... fantastic

I wonder if it is some fans behind this release or whether it is someone from a studio - either way I can't believe that someone has had these for 30 years and kept it to themselves... and an exclusive inner circle...

My initial reaction when I first heard these demos was that they can only have come from someone very close to the band, either one of the musicians, producers, etc.

My view remains the same...

Either way, it's truly fantastic to hear these gems!

Shoplifters is a different take to the previous version ... listen to the ending!

Cheers!
