Moz makes Irish Times '50 Best British Acts' poll

Years of Refusal "tenacious". Now, there's a desperate adjective of praise if ever I saw one. As if it was some amazing feat in itself that the man is still capable of recording a whole album. :)

There is of course something fundamentally wrong with a world in which Bat For Lashes is rated above Morrissey, but on the other hand a world that is fundamentally wrong is the kind of world in which someone like Morrissey thrives. And we all knew already, anyway. :D

Actually, I thought the most remarkable thing about the list was that Laura Marling was on top of it. That I just don't understand, on any level. To me, her music is as utterly unexceptional as it is utterly unobjectionable. If she's really the best the UK has to offer at the moment, times are indeed hard....
