What Is The New Stage Backdrop?

Can anyone shed some light on the new stage backdrop that Moz is using - as seen last night at the Marquee?

I thought this might help the thread. Thanks to Randy Darling

At first quick glance, I thought that was Sinatra on the right. And it made me think of Buzzetta *aww* Well, I really thought the answer to this would have already been known/posted by now-someone must know.

Does anyone know if any fan has managed to acquire one of the stage backdrops from previous tours - how cool would that be?

I can't believe that Morrissey keeps them all, and just about everything that is "borrowed" by the band or crew ends up on ebay at some stage.

And what about the red letter lights - cool as - someone must have them.

I couldn't tell ye who they are, but I managed to get some piccas if it's any help at all

It says (well, from what I can make out):
"History of the case
Arrested for snatching watch in Savoy Bar. Claimed it was given to him by owner. Both drunk."

Had a look earlier about the 3 guys who escaped from Alcatraz and none of them resembled the people on the backdrops. Back to the drawing board.....

They look like they are from one of those 1920's crime photography books. I've seen a really good one of murder scenes, that are a bit too gruesome to make a stage backdrop (heads, and faces blown off etc).

I was intrigued by the backdrop since I saw it in Cork on Thursday so I did a little digging. The photos seem to come from 'Least Wanted: A Century of American Mugshots'. The guy on the right can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/leastwanted/19741394/in/set-72157603898409097/

I'd be very interested to find the mugshot of the guy on the left, there is something really compelling about him!! You might find him here in one of the photo sets: http://www.flickr.com/photos/leastwanted/sets/

Its pretty amazing stuff to look at. Its sad and a little haunting.

Enjoy

That's a great find, CB, well done. Fascinating mugshots.

I'm happy to post the links, hopefully we find out more about the backdrop and the guy on the left.

Some more details about the guy on the right:
paul sidney
slocum
age 20, 1913
monroe, washington
carpenter
grand larceny

Ta very much, Cork Blood!

Attached below is my fave mugshot. ;) I put it on a shirt with the caption "Dear Hero Impersonated, with all the new crimes that you are perfecting, I can't help quoting you"

Did you know that Terence Stamp, one of Mozzer's faves, has been getting some work in Hollywood? He plays the villain in Get Smart and another character in Wanted.

Briliant design for a T shirt. :)

Good to hear that Terence Stamp is still in demand in Hollywood.
