Looks like someone's specialist subject tomorrow night is The Smiths http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vt79m.mp

Not sure if it is a repeat (don't think so).

BBC2 8pm Friday.

Let's see who gets a better score than the contestant

Thank you very much for the heads-up, Dave.

It's over 5 years Uncleskinny appeared on the show, would be interesting to watch someone else takes the challenge (but I'm going to Oxford to see Edwyn Collins, will watch it on iPlayer).

A mate brought it to my attention last night - he thought I might have applied...

I fear I'd challenge this bloke for the worst ever score

Humphreys: "What is the name of the drummer in The Smiths?"

Me: "Erm.... erm... Yootha Joyce"

etc...

Still waiting for the tape to convert to Dvd and put up on youtube Skinny!

I know. Me dad's got it somewhere. I'd like to think of that appearance as a bit of trailblazing, as the first contestant to answer on 'pop' bands. I'll ask him again.

I recall someone doing it on the Sex Pistols..... was that not before your splendid appearence?

Wonder if they'll ask a question about where The Smiths first gig was in the States;)

Oooh, just got one wrong, the Chicory Tip one. I'll transcribe the questions and get them up shortly.

I got two wrong....the Chicory Tip song (which lets face it is hardly a Smiths question) and the hearing aid one.

I was helped in the question about the restaurant that Johnny told the band he was leaving as I bought Jukebox Jury's calendar the other year and it had a picture of Geals Restuarant in Notting Hill as one of the months:cool:

Hold on, didn't John Harrumphries get one answer wrong there? The answer to the question what object were Stamp and Morrissey holding on the sleeve of 'What Difference Does It make?' was given as a glass of milk. The correct answer should have been Stamp holds a chloroform pad, Moz holds a glass of milk.
Amateurs!

He'd have had a chance if he he'd answered a bit quicker and not nearly started crying in the general knowledge.

I've been doing the Wythenshaw Waltz and watching the fireworks in the park. Just got back and watched it on iplayer.

I got the first one wrong - I know it's Wolstencroft but my first answer was Dale Hibbert. Schoolboy error.

And I had no idea about the Chickory Tip question. But, come on, 250 miles for this crap?

I got 8 of his general knowledge questions as well - so, in theory, 20 points - at least I wouldn't have been last.
