I had a great time last night, thanks team. Danced all night 'til my feet were sore. Salvaged the evening for me and I reckon I've earned myself a donut with all that exercise.

In a strange way I also liked the way that we had to go through the other half of the venue to get to the toilets. In the other room they were playing the usual rubbish that you get in far too many city centre pubs and clubs these days, only this time I had the satisfaction of knowing that I had Morrissey's music waiting for me as soon as I got back to our 'private function'. |

That was bizarre having to cross that dancefloor nextdoor to get to the loo - it was a like a paralell universe. Really nice to see some old regulars as ever and it was something to look forward to after the incident at the gig. Stayed until the end and danced all night - great night. Thanks to the organisers

Somebody came around taking photos of people including me and my mate. at first I thought it might be one of those people who take your photo and then charge you for the priviledge of it but its just occurred to me that it might end up on the quarry website....don't suppose anyone knows when they will put the photos up so I can check, would be nice to have a keepsake of the night.

Quarry did turn into a really good night - I agree with the above - just imagine how good it COULD have been!
It's so true, that at first - for the first hour or so - people were just sitting there looking glum and nursing their pints; a few drinks though and the atmosphere got much better - everyone was in the same boat and just got on with it! The 'other' club and the toilets really were 'something else'. OMG, I have never seen girls that orange in my life, even when I have strayed near Brannigans in Manchester (not in there, mind!). Ha Ha - did anyone see the two wag-a-likes who kept trying to get in our room?! They weren't let in but stayed there for ages - I think they thought it was some private party for Jay-Z or something similar! Bizarre! |

Thanks to everyone who came along to Quarry on Saturday.
I only managed to take a small number of photos and they are on the web site now. If you have photos you can upload them to the website. Mike |

Christ. It took me a day to get that. I was thinking - what sort of person would do a thing like that? It just dawned on me. I need to take more vitamins and drink less.

Not being funny but how many Quarry tour nights have now been cursed with Mozzer cancellations/ strops.
A fair few I'd wager?

Yes it has been problematic for Quarry but that's unavoidable.
I don't wish to start a whole new discussion on the issues and I'm sure people have expressed their opinions in other forums. Cancellations were due to illness and nobody can plan when illness strikes. I would not work if I was ill and I would not expect Morrissey to do so either. His health is paramount and takes priority over anything else. Do people really think that he chooses to be ill and cancel gigs? Basic financial reasons show that to be nonsense. With regard to Liverpool it is not Morrissey that did anything wrong but the idiot who decided throwing something at him was acceptable behaviour. I have heard many things that suggest that having things thrown at you at stage comes with the territory and that other artists put up with it so Morrissey should. That is a ridiculous argument. I don't think it is acceptable and all credit to Morrissey for having the strength and conviction to say that he isn't going to accept it and put up with it. Why should he? Would you? People are very quick to condemn Morrissey but it is not him at fault. Another example in Hamburg. It is not asking too much to expect people to have basic manners and respect. This may well be accepted and put up with by other people but this is why Morrissey is so admirable because he doesn't put up with it and stands up for what all of us should believe as basic standards in behaviour and manners.
