There are some who need to quit giving old Smiths fans grief for coming to Moz shows and not knowing all the songs, like their not worthy of being in the same venue as Morrisey.
I started listening to The Smiths in 1986 and continued to listen to Morrisey solo to this day. I was Lucky enough to catch the Myrtle Beach show in July and it was great, one of the best shows I've seen. Doesn't Moz play 5 or 6 Smith songs a show still? Doesn't he almost always open with a Smiths song(he did on every show of his summer tour) and most shows end with a Smiths song. Why does he do this? I guess he appreciates the fans who helped him get to where he is today. Oh, and maybe he still loves the songs he helped create! I'm pretty sure that almost all of his sales of "Viva Hate" were to Smiths fans.
I know most Moz fans understand this, but there obviously some who don't. Let's all just enjoy the great work of Morrissey and appreciate the fact that we are all fans.
I'd be curious to see what the man himself has to say about this.
P.S. We were lucky to get the bottom half of Boz's set list after the Myrtle Beach show. He threw it as a paper airplane. What a night!
