We had much more interesting polls, hadn't we?

hey, this poll's relevant! you have to look beyond the surface and look at the deeper implications...we're all morrissey fanatics, and 75% of us are male! doesn't that give you some insight into the minds of morrissey fans? lots of people, myself included, are fascinated by moz's loyal and devoted following, and how it works...i for one, being male myself, am in love with him!!

Keep in mind that almost 2/3s of internet users are male though, so it distorts the idea that "75% of morrissey fans are male" idea.

(er, those percentages are off the top of my head, please do no quote me on it :))

I am a female - but aside from there being more men on the internet - there is also only about 30% of the entire population at this point on the internet so this poll really has to be taken lightly.

Well said, Joyce. By the way I am female and loving every minute of it!

what`s all this talking about how boring and irrelevant is this poll?..its very relevant. the results just proves my point (err..which i`ve never argued btw) that most moz\smiths fans are males. it goes together with the internet being more a refuge for men than to women.
a refuge from loneliness, i mean.
there are much more lonely men than women..
yes, you guessed right..male and lonely

In the poll, I chose hermaphrodite. I have the superior strength and intelligence of a man, AND the ability to annoy people with idiotic comments (like most women).

Hold on, let me put on my helmet. OK, I'm ready. Commence firing.

Just thought I'd point out that Hermaphrodite is the son/daughter of Hermes and Aphrodite ( ie Mercury and Venus ). This concept is represented by the number 16 and the hebrew letter pe ( which means mouth - both male and female ( lingam/yoni) ). Interestingly all this basically means that the Hermaphrodite is fundamentally a Martian being ( which is usually a symbol of masculinity! ).

Not to be too big of a wanker but hermaphrodite is not really a gender at all. It's a biological condition, not socially constructed or assumed, and can therefore not be a gender. If anything, it's a sexual classification.

I wouldn't mind being a herm, you get the best of both worlds

Davio,

I believe the choice of hermaphrodite is supposed to be humorous (as are many of the messages posted).

I suggested a poll about people's sexuality. I think it would be very interesting to see the ratio of morrissey-solo users (not morrissey fans) that are gay, straight or otherwise. But, judging from the reaction to this very innocuous question about gender, people would be very upset by such a "provocative" poll. I can hear it now: "What does a person's sexuality have to do with whether he likes Morrissey?!?" And if I have to explain it, then forget it.

Instead of doing silly questions like this one, you should ask what would you do if Moz said that he doesn´t want to go on tour anymore?
Thanks & best regards, me.

I think your running out of ideas for a poll. How about "How many think Morrissey should come to New Zealand for a concert tour?"

While it is commendable to list more than M/F as your gender choices, I think more appropriate terms to use might be "intersex" instead of hermaphodite and "transgendered" for those born as one sex, but who identify differently. ;-)

hey, I think THAT would be a good poll to have.
One's sexual orientation.
I don't think that one would really go for it but I have always been under the impression that most Morrissey fans were male and queer, as it were.
I perhaps shouldn't generalize, but I've been to three Morrissey shows and being a fag myself you can usually spot another.....sorry...I didn't mean to babble.

I'm a man...I like Morrissey...I'd love to meet more girls who like Morrissey...a lot of girls here in "Miami" don't know much about Morrissey...a lot of girls aren't stuck at home surfing the net either...I'd rather get laid than answer polls on Morrissey...it's shallow and revolting but it's true...Morrissey makes me celibate...It's his fault! Heterosexual Morrissey fans in Miami don't get laid unless they find a truly special girl that digs good music... you don't find too many ladies like that here, goddammit! I'm torn between my libido and my taste in music!
