If the news on www.f-p-e.com is true, then Good Charlotte not only get a talented drummer, but one step closer to Moz - since The Brothers Madden and gal Hilary Duff are such big Moz/The Smiths fans. If (hope) Deano's still playing the drums for Moz this year, then by looking at Good Charlotte's tour dates, we may not see any performances before Isle of Wight.

'The Irish Times' states that the Smiths, Rory Gallagher and others will be featured in the first episode of new flashback show “Reverb” on RTE2 at 9.30pm, Tuesday, 26th April, described as nostalgia time for Irish rock and pop. It’s hosted by Des Bishop, and interviews with actors, comedians, TV hosts, radio Djs and musicians will be included, along with archive footage. Beneath the blurb, there’s a picture of the Smiths in action in which at first glance, Morrissey could be mistaken for Elvis.

Also 'Who Put The M In Manchester' is now number 6 in the official uk music DVD charts after 3 weeks peaking at number 2 and also peaking at number 39 in uk DVD (all genres of DVD) charts.

Salford Lads’ Club are rather chuffed to announce two extra shows in their final tribute to The Smiths.

The declaration of the Salford Lads Club's final Smiths Tribute performances has caused a furore comparable to little else but the death of the Mother Teresa; maybe even that of Lady Di.

These outpourings of emotion have resulted in the scheduling of two extra dates...

In Auckland, the Lads now play Fri 29th April at Galatos, in addition to the Sat 30th.

In Wellington, adding to the Saturday night gig at Indigo, the band will play an earlier show on the Sunday 8th May entitled “Some Mothers Days Are Bigger Than Others”

People are urged to bring flowers to these last shows, and also, whenever possible, their mothers. Indeed, a generous offer has been provided on the Sunday gig of free entry to the first 100 mums accompanying their offspring, and able to prove their relationship.

These will be the very last shows of many mad celebrations over the last couple of years, before the group finally heads off to ‘Strangeways’ for a tea drinking sabbatical.

Remember to bring flowers!
