Yesterday at the Santa Monica pier, "Slumdog Millionaire" director Danny Boyle (left) was told he looks a helluva lot like The Smiths frontman Morrissey (right) -- and you know what, it's a pretty spot on observation.

  • I was originally going to comment on this at the original website but didn't think it was worth providing all my details first before I could comment. Now it's been posted here... They don't look anything alike! Any similarity is VERY slight, and could probably be found if you compared Morrissey to virtually anyone else sharing his general age, face shape and body type.

  • i have thought this for a while actually and brought it up to people when watching the Oscars. Its only at times he does, other times not at all. Danny can play a very old looking Moz in a Morrissey biopic hahaha.
    He does make some good movies though. Slumdog is totally overrated though, its good but not great. 28 days later, shallow grave, sunshine..... those were really good. oh yea and i guess Trainspotting haha

    I noticed this during the Golden Globes and posted random thoughts about it in the Forums. But I'm pretty bad about checking back. I'm too random and busy.

    With the sweater, disheveled hair, bald spot and lankiness, he looks kind of like a papa version of Moz. A bit more shrunken (the life of a director!). The Mancunian accent is a pleasure to hear.

  • Seriously, go to any boozer in Ireland (many of which are called "Morrissey's" or "Boyle's") and most of the people in them will look like Moz or Danny Boyle. It's the dark hair/ blue eyes/ pale skin thing.
