On the Friday 30th January episode of the British soap opera Emmerdale, "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" was featured in one of the scenes.
A drunken Chas and Marlon Dingle (recently separated from wife Donna) were singing along to it.

Morrissey has previously said he watches Emmerdale and mentioned something about the soap's Dingle family in a concert once.

  • I couldn't stop. It was really funny. It just shows how talented Morrissey is, when you hear someone else trying to sing one of his songs, and can't.
