  • i see the source is winkwink...but I (also known as Puddle) got this info from another post. Apparently Morrissey mentioned it at a show...did this or did this not happen?

  • Too much to hope for an interview as well? Oh well. The last time Morrissey was on, Letterman wasted so much time in the beginning on this skit that was not even remotely funny, I thought he could've used that time wasted for a brief interview (unless Morrissey was not into doing an interview).

    I'd personally would like to see Morrissey on the Late Show with Conan O'Brien or The Late Late Show with Craig Furgeson. I think those two hosts are far funnier then Letterman.

  • I've been fantasizing about a John Stewart interview. After all, it's typically very brief, which is perfect for such a shy subject. Plus, Moz did wear that "John Stewart for President" T in 2004. I'm sure Mr. Stewart "gets" Morrissey, and the Daily Show audience is really ideal for one of pop culture's greatest provocateurs.

    Still, I'm overjoyed to see him anytime, anywhere.

  • as opposed to the new song. I mean, it is the Greatest Hits tour, and by performing on Letterman, he's promoting the East Coast shows (and one would think MSG in particular) and trying to fill seats. That's How People Grow Up, or even the superior All You Need Is Me, will most likely not accomplish that. Everyday is Like Sunday, or How Soon Is Now, might...

  • But I hope they don't chop the show up, like they did it with Jimmy's, and leave me with a donkey doing eeehohh as a grand finale of Moz butchered TV appearance, as it was with Jimmy's show. Who is responsible, the host, ABC channel, or commercials themselves? I don't know. But David Letterman is a reasonably intelligent and nice fella, so I am in huge hopes he'll have the courtesy to let his TV audience watch their so-wished-for Moz singing till the end. NO donkeys, Mr. Letterman, please!

  • How great would it be for Morrissey to do Dave's Top 10 countdown. Top 10 reasons 'Why All You Need Is Me' or Top 10 ways 'How People Grow Up'. Do a little stand-up with some added quips and smirks then launch full force into one of those songs. Okay, it's nice to dream up a laugh anyway. I don't think Dave's ticker could take the excitement :o) but I know mine would be very full and happy!! Well, it will be regardless!

  • Do I not recall hearing Morrisey say on an '02 (?) bootleg that Letterman was "a Crashing Bore...f*ck him, f*ck him, f*ck him"..? In fact I know he said that, because I have the track here somewhere and listened to it not that long ago. It was before Quarry, when he was debuting Crashing Bores, I like You, Mexico, etc. hmmm.
