While we here in Europe can now only read enviously about Moz's tour of the US, I can at least recommend catching Little Barrie in concert as a consolation.

Just in case you don't know, Barrie Cadogan helped out Morrissey and the band in 2004, stepping in at the last minute for Alain Whyte who'd fallen ill.

His own band are fantastic live and their latest single 'Pay To Join' is simply wonderful... as is the whole 'Stand Your Ground' album.

  • So he's a full time member of Primal Scream and still kept his own band going? Busy.

  • If Swallowneck took "little Swallowneck" on tour, there would be nothing but satisfied faces stretching from the naughty north to the sexy south... He would be happy to "receive" all comers backstage.

His rider would consist of a bowl of oranges, a supply of cool compresses and a signed photo of Ben Shepherd on the make up mirror.

  • My how Little Barrie has grown. A year out with the Scream has turned our clean cut choirboy into a rock god cliche.

New album is great but nothing betters "Free Salute".

Despite cockiness they are very good live and I look forward to catching them at the Fez.

........a life affirming voice set to a heavenly guitar melody, a killer bass line and a impassioned drum beat.
  • Should have been the permanent touring replacement for Alain Whyte, not the lousy Jesse Tobias.

  • Saw Lil'Barrie in Leuven (BE) at Het Depot (march 2007). Good set, good punch. Good Barrie.
