Regarding your story the other day about Danny Robins campaigning for Morrissey in The Culture Show's "Living Icon" poll, I have just uploaded that segment of the show to YouTube. Just thought it might be of interest:

  • OOh morrissey was very smiley. What does Morrissey win, if he wins? Is there a trophy, maybe a grammy of some sort. If that guy was standing in front of me with that placard at a morrissey concert causing my vision to be blocked he would have to die. The one thing they all have in common is that they love little furry animals. So in a way they all win....

  • Is he openly gay? Is he totally in love with Morrissey? He was very flirty with him. Might they make a nice couple? Morrissey should settle down.

  • Thank you nWo, that was a great video to see, I just wish our vote hunter wasn't so..erhm...scathological, but, well, nobody's perfect. I'm so sorry I was immersed in writting my finals, and missed the day to vote, but I am really glad for him, he deserves every bit of it of course, specially after all the media hassle he went through, the FBI, and all that. Being a living icon when you're still in your forties, and with this horribly corrupt music industry is quite a doing, I think. He was quite beautiful singing in that dark suit and in that red shirt with a tie. I agree with someone that said that when he shows up, all heads turn his way...

Good job, Danny -- he brought in a lot of votes.

For some reason, the shot of the long line of Moz fans texting their votes in recalled the glory days of the late 80s when Moz first went Solo...brought a tear to the eye it did.

  • he misspelled morrissey's name on one of the posters. a true moz fan never forgets to add the second 'r'. i really have to question the integrity of the program.

  • Clearly the other two have no passion and conducted their campaign like politicians. How unispired. What a fantastic thing to do by hanging the banner and going to the gig - thank goodness Morrissey is touring at present, maybe we'd not have got as many voters if he hadn't been so prolific while the campaign was on. I can't wait for the results of this. I have almost everything crossed in anticipation. I think we should all have street partys if he wins!
