Council worker on the cusp of pop stardom - Hampstead and Highgate Express It isn't entirely surprising that Morrissey likes The Boyfriends. Their music is, as Wallace puts it, "music for people who don't get invited to parties". And it has been described as, among other things, dark. And The Smiths legend seems to have taken the four-piece under his wing. Wallace says he "has been incredibly supportive" to the band, who are now in the process of recording their first album when they have some time - invariably at the weekends.
