A piece from
MORRISSEY: 'I'M AGEING GRACEFULLY' - contactmusic.com

lifted from the GQ interview:

"Morose rocker MORRISSEY is dismissive of journalists who snipe at his greying hair and middle-aged physique, as he insists he is ageing more gracefully than any of them.

The former SMITHS frontman, 46, watches his weight and looks after his body, unlike many of the "toothless" interviewers who come his way.

He says, "I don't want to be any bigger than I am and I avoid meals late at night - 'Eat after eight, put on weight', I believe they say.

"Gravity is in charge and you can only do your best.

"There are plenty of people my age who don't have hair or teeth - journalists mostly.

"They interview me and comment on how I'm slightly greying, and isn't it all sad and pathetic?"

Everybody tells me you were beautiful while you were young. I came here to tell you that for me that I find you more beautiful now than when you were young, I love less the face face you had as a young woman than this one you have now, devastated."

  • I know to many out there this seems ancient, but really, he's hardly knocking on death's door. Let's all wring our hands when he's a devilishly handsome 60.

If Moz did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
  • must be getting old cause it's seems like it
was 1985 and Moz was slender with a Quiff so long
it went into next week, falling over the monitor wedges. Then I blinked and it was 1991 and the above description still applied then I blinked again it's 2005 and he turned into Stately middle aged English Gentleman. I think he should be the next James Bond. It's high time we had a James Bond that was celebate with a slight bit of sexual ambiguity. Can imagine the girls trying to pick up on him. "Oh Dear, Uhhh Thank you but no"
