  • Sire has always promoted some really good bands on their compilation cds. In 1987 when they released the first compilation CD, 'Just Say Yes' it included The Smiths 'Work Is a Four Letter Word', to which I thought was a good choice because it was a B-Side. And on that same disc you heard bands like Depeche Mode, Echo, James, The Ramones, The Replacements, Throwing Muses, Erasure and a few more. That was a great compilation for $6.99! And they continued to put on Morrissey tracks as well in the next 4 that they released! They should also be thankful that they had The Smiths on their label because it definately made them a much better label because of it! Two Thumbs Up for Sire!
