Having re-established his credentials as a solo artist of genuine importance with last year’s comeback, You Are the Quarry (which spawned a series of sold-out gigs), Morrissey now comes back with a cover version of The Smiths classic, There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, to mark the forthcoming release of a live CD and DVD. The track merely serves to demonstrate that old Smiths songs have lost none of their appeal. Also included, is a cover version of the Patti Smith song, Redondo Beach, making this a release that all Smiths fans and Morrissey fans won’t want to miss.
