  • There is something vaguely porno looking about the sleeve and style of lettering.
All to the good I say!
The "Attack" on the promo looks excellent.

  • that has to be the worst lettering ever used on a morrissey album/cd cover.

  • It looks very groovy and classic.

I wish the album cover looked as good, the pic with the tommy gun looks so cheesy, fake, and unMorrissey.

Recorded in L.A. huh? Isn't that a first?

not convinced, I agree with quite a lot which has been said, the actual cover isnt bad, i can see the whole slightly porn/satin sheet/boudoir but i like that, what im not keen on is the font. Morrissey has always kept to a similarish sort of font for his name, ok some are different but we can see the old favourites. All the albums are practically the same apart from the viva hate reissue and the best of which as a pair are identical. These yellow retro 70's curls dont really work though.
The way an artist writes his name becomes his sort of symbol emblem. Nirvana always stuck to the same font, their name instantly recognisable ( not comparing them in any other way the morrissey) morrissey had a similar thing up til now!

  • I love everything about the new artwork.

It's cheesy, corny and quite camp, in a seventies kind of way.

    It's Morrissey at his best.

It is a very mixed blessing to be brought back from the dead.
  • ...not so sure about the font. It's a very Southpaw Grammar shade of orange too.

This year's design theme is satin curtains! How camp!

  • This sleeve is the worst one I've seen. I'm surprised Mozzer approved of this. What happened? Did the budget fall short and they couldn't afford a decent graphic artist using a decent version of photoshop???

Morrissey, if you only asked, I would have provided expert graphic design. Not by me, of course.

  • ... Trying to save money by doing the sleeve himself was clearly a mistake. It really is an ugly cover. The only remotely interesting thing about this sleeve is the use of all lowercase letters for the sir names - curious.

  • the sleeve looks very gaudy and outdated. it makes morrissey look like goldfinger in austin powers with that yellow suit on. the important thing is the quality of music which sounds incredible.

Oh this whole album just gets BETTER!!!! :)))
