Part 2 of the Channel 4 documentary is now available for download. Files encoded by lutewhine.

Right-click the link and choose "save target" (or equivalent) to save the file to your local hard disk.
  • "The Importance of Being Morrissey", Part 2 of 4 full size (75.1MB, 10:22 320x240 MPEG format) [server overloaded, link removed]
  • Small size part 2 of 4(11.1MB, 220x140 MPEG format) [server overloaded, link removed]
---
As requested by a few, BitTorrent links have been set up: BitTorrent info page, FAQ. Give the filesharing program BitTorrent a try. Faster and more reliable downloads are possible and it also takes the load off the server. Clients are available for Windows, Mac and Linux/Unix.
---
Update: 06/14 08:16 GMT: BitTorrent links for the rest of the other files available now.

  • I guess it's because it's 10:30pm here in hawaii and 1:30 AM pst that it took 5 minutes to download the larger file! Anyway thanks for sharing! Glad I decided to check out Moz-solo one more time today. Now I'm off to enjoy part 2. BTW forgot to mention Friday the 13th!

  • I've downloaded the files no problem. But I can't open them properly. Windows Media Player just plays the audio and not the video. I've tried DivX as someone has suggested but my computer crashes when I try to open the files with it. Does anyone have any suggestions???

  • brava, brava! thanks to lutewhine (for the elbow grease) and david t. (for the assist), but here's my question...

when i burn all four parts on to a dvd-r, will the program be full screen? i have a few friends i want to make copies for and i want to make sure the images take up their entire television screen.

ps: is there a bit of choppiness on the high-res version? i have a very good pc, yet there's still a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a delay - not that i'm complaining, it's just not dvd-proper quality.

I'm almost sure you can do better than that.
  • I hate to see bootleggers taking advantage of true fans. I'll probably copy the interview onto my computer within the next few days. So anyone who wants it can have it for $5 or something like that, just to cover the postage and dvd cost, or if you want it on CD I'll do it cheaper. I'll find out exactly how much it will cost me to do, profit-free. Screw you, you slimey money makers.

  • Anyone downloading the MPG of The Importance of Being Morrissey from charmer, it will not play in Quicktime 6.3 under OS X. You can, however, view it with VLC Media Player. Download it at:
    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

Any Mac user experiencing trouble with any of the files downloaded from other sources (David here at Moz-Solo, etc) should try out VLC Media Player.

  • Dear Friends,

I need honest help, here! I have successfully donwloaded Part one, but it will not play whatsoever. The 'Real One Player' pops up on my computer, but it will not allow the film to be played! No music, either! I have Windows Media Player, but that obviously is not the default. I am technologically challenged! Kind people, help me shelter this dream...

    Truly,

  • hi, undoubtly fans!

really great opportunity to see more from Morrissey!

Specially, when you live in south america and dont have channel 4 : )

pls friends, put the files in all p2p networks and lets spread the message.

i think it would be cool if we create a dc hub with morrissey/smiths stuff!

    what do you think?

i dont have broadband, but have some good files : )

  • Anyone who would like a copy of the Morrissey interview can email me, I will give it to you for a small price just to cover the CD/DVD and postage costs, which will probably be only $3 if you want it on CDR!
In one or so weeks I'll be able to offer it on DVD, for anyone who insists on better quality.
So email me, tell me where abouts in the world you are and we can sort something out.
I don't think pirates should exploit fans.
        I am here to help.

screw that! i'll just wait here until it finishes down... Oh, all done.
    Anonymous -- Friday June 13 2003, @01:16PM (#65424)
  • Actually, $20 for the dvd doesn't sound too bad. I'm just wondering why you're selling the vhs version for $38 though.

In any case, if I was to order the dvd version, I'll just get it from [email protected] [morrissey-solo.com] for $19.
