I found a very impressive drawing of Morrissey on the internet at the following link:

I don't think I've seen such a likeness in a drawing before...it's quite stunnning.

  • That godlike aura around the face just about sums it up.

  • wow, this person has got mad skills. my only criticisms are that i think the white glow is cheesy, and that the background seems like an afterthought. great job on the portrait itself, though. that's my favorite picture of Morrissey.

  • The light beaming onto his face no doubt comes from the gates of heaven thrown wide open by the jealous angels...that a mortal dare to be so exquisite!

True friends stab you in the front.
  • I have quite an awesome drawing of Moz a girl did for me in return for a favor I had done for her. It hangs on my wall and when my family came to my house they all agreed it was my velvet Elvis.

It honestly is one of two Morrissey memorabilia type issues I have in my home, the other being a painting I did for myself years ago. I have no problem with people making fun of me, and honestly it isn't that it is Morrissey hanging on my wall; in fact, it is more that it just is a nice drawing that shows the raw talent of this wonderful girl! But it's a plus that it is him, of course...

  • when they see something they blatantly couldnt do themselves. i don't think it says anywhere that it's 'art'...would you rather an artistic impression of morrissey a la some 'Crimewatch' photofit? or are those pictures by talentless sub-fanzine standard dudettes who cant draw level eyes or a pair of ears in the right place more artistic? perhaps it would be more 'art' if they'd thrown in some lyrics in the background in 'graffiti' font, and maybe a suede lyric accidentally? if u actually follow the link to the site that it's from, you'll see that the person who drew it also does drawings that you might deem 'art'. but then you probably like andy warhol.

the background is actually just a block colour, from the physical copy i've seen of this drawing, it's just a poor scan on here. and no, i didn't draw the thing.
