I like Regina Spektor, actually never heard any of Ani DiFranco even though
one of my friends insists I MUST listen to her...I only heard Rufus sing on
Antony & the Johnsons song 'What Can I Do', liked it a lot..
columbula March 1, 2009, 03:21 PM I like Regina Spektor, actually never heard any of Ani DiFranco even though
one of my friends insists I MUST listen to her...Ani DiFranco's from Buffalo. They love her here. Haha.
She's got some really good songs and really solid albums from what I've heard. I only own two of her CDs, but they're good. I really like Superhero (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRpBd2VMaxY)and Adam and Eve (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt40mif1CFc) from her "Dilate" album. (don't pay attention to the pictures in the video -- they were the only ones with the songs on youtube. ^^; )
But I can't listen to her for too long, only in short doses. The mix of her guitar work and the folk-iness of it all, her songs are usually pretty slow.
