I couldn't find a decent thread for them, anyway all i wanted to say is that they've signed to the great 4AD label. I'm quite sure many of you will have an album by a band/artist who are/were on 4AD.
I reckon the new Camera Obscura album will do really well now, they certainly deserve a decent selling album.
I've got all their old b-sides if you have any requests:

Nearly all the b-sides from the last album's sessions were worthy of an album place themselves...very Smiths like in that respect. Nice to see a band still appreciate and respect the single format..a dying art.
This is a lovely little ditty.

Each of the singles from the last album had a cover version exclusive to the 7" and not on the CD...similar to what Morrissey does.
Covers were:
Abba's - Super Trooper
Sheena Easton's - Modern Girl
Skeeter Davis's - I Can't Stay Mad At You

I doubt it's album sales that they are relying upon to survive as a band. I think it's more probably money they get from gigs. The more peole who hear the album, the more people who will go to the gigs.

They're all worth getting so you may as well go in release order (If you want to obviously)
So:
'Underachievers please try harder'
'Let's Get Out Of This Country'
'My Maudlin Career'
If you get hold of 'Rare UK Bird' I'll take my cap off to you, easy to find as a download mind.
They're a brilliant b-side band too, the b-sides often eclipse some of the album tracks. I'd recommend as many singles as you can get hold of,
hope this helps.

I'm new to them, been listening to My Maudlin Career a lot lately. I love it (James is stuck in my head)!
Tracyanne's voice is heavenly. :sweet:
