My favourite thing to do is to put the boots on and head for the hills. Nothing in life gives me greater pleasure. Up Pen-Y-Ghent, Boulsworth, Pendle. I love it. Unfortunately, injury has limited chances recently, but I'm ready to rock now. Good luck Mr Seeker. may your waistline tighten.

Not during this period. But, normally I play football twice a week and sometimes rugby. Tennis in the summer and I go the gym.....sometimes :o I'm being a bit of a lazy bastard lately though :(

I typically run a few miles and play two soccer games per week. I need to get started on my upper body though... Aww, nuts to that.

Whenever I can, I go walking for about 1-1,5 hours.
Usually straight after work, before dinner.
It really relaxes me and I sleep like a baby. :D
There was a time when I did 25-40 km walks with a friend, on weekends, but we don't do that anymore. We should do that again, though.
Mmmm, new year's resolution.

Yes. Gym at least twice a week, cycle to work most days, a keen mountain biker - did the coast to coast ride back in June this year.

Can't stand doing proper sit ups though.I'm too lazy.

I'm not hefty by any means just about 10lb over.I'm going to shift it though.I've always been a bit large up top and as i'm only 5 2" i tend to look top heavy:(

I usually take my dogs for long walks as i love it.When the kids are older I'm going to join a ramblers association and walk all over the Yorkshire moors and the like and stop off at all the pubs along the way.Sounds like heaven to me.

yes but not as much as I should...
i walk to and from work EVERYDAY (bout mile each way, up a steep hill on the way back) stand up/dash about all day,
muck out 3 equines and shift hay etc everyday.
and i try to cycle a lot, but ive got a bit lazy in the last few months,
oh and i do silly things like carry laundry upstairs one piece at a time for the extra exercise..

one of my new year resolutions is not to make excuses not to exercise, and try to do a lot more every day, (very hard sometimes when youve spent 10 hours on your feet and then crawled home, but im determined to try)

well done Seeker, :)

I cycle most places. Much prefer dodging traffic across London than formal exercise kind of things. The best is cycling back from things really late at night. Cycling in London between 1 and 5 in the morning is amazing.

I'm a gym rat myself. I lift weights 5-6 days a week with each session lasting 1 1/2 - 2 hours. It's just something I've always done. I know I'm the only one with an MP3 player full of Moz songs. Miserable Lie and What she said are particularly condusive to a good set. I'm 6'2" at 230 trim pounds. It really helps at GA shows to make it to the front.

Photobucket is what I use...
When you set up your account, you can make it "public" or "private."
If you keep it "public" anyone here can check out your other pictures, and apparently, that's a pretty big deal

I heard that in Rockband 1 for Wii, you couldn't create your own custom band members....but you can for 2. #2 is wireless, but I don't think #1 is.

I walk a lot (as much as I can!) a good 10 minutes each way to and from bus stop every day when I'm at school. If I'm staying with my mum, I offre to take the dog on as many walks as I can, which is a good 40-50 minutes (much of it uphill!) I have an exercise DVD, but my current excuse for not doing it is a) it's very long and b) it's very boring, so I've ordered a new more exciting danced based DVD (salsacise!) with short segmants. I'm also going to start going to sala classes in the new year!

I walk everywhere thats not too far away, and go on long walks for enjoyment when the weathers nice. I have a bike which I ride, again, when the weathers nice. Theres a Wii Fit in the house, but it belongs to my brother, so my chance to go on it is rare..but thats fun and good exercise when I do. :)

I run religiously between 20-30 miles a week and do half marathons and 10k's. Do it in wind, cold, snow, rain, whatever ...I think I'm addicted to it and I get agitated if I rest more than 2 days. I figured out years ago that it's the easiest way to eat three times as much as everybody else and remain skinny:)

I took up running last summer but I haven't done it since winter kicked in. How do you avoid catching a bad cold? It's -5°C here and I'm not worried about being cold while running, but the crispy cold air going down into my lungs is dangerous. So how do you avoid that?

Well, EPbabe, I didn't manage to avoid the recent bout of flu that was going round and was laid-up for a week resting just before Crimbo with that, but usually the first 10 mins or so is the hardest until your breathing settles and your body warms up. Best motivation is to enter a race in spring or summer and have a training schedule to get you through winter. I must admit that I hate the cold weather too though. I did 7.5 miles yesterday back from work in that nasty cold and I have to run back again tomorrow as my car is still in work car park:eek: Are you going to get back into it? It's ever so good for you:)

I think I'm going to wait until the temperatures go slightly up. I can't afford catching a cold or a flu, and stay out of work. :o

hey, I have my good and bad days too, especially if alcohol has been involved the night before:) Some days I ponder my sanity when I'm struggling! Big up respect to you for being nutty enough and getting off your sofa and going for a run every now and again though. Us runners always give each other a knowing nod and a wink when we pass in the street, usually acknowledging mutual madness I think.

I walk every day 30 minutes after dinner. It really boosts the mood in a positive way. I just came back from a walk, and although it was only 16 degrees and bitter cold, I really enjoyed the pink sunset. The wind is a killer, and I usually can't make it in the wind and cold. I would say I walk about 360 days a year. It is the best (and free).
