i try and quit about twice a year, this last summer i went over 2 months without smoking! :)
but i really need the smokes, they just calm me, i try and keep it to 10 a day
but it creeped back up to 20 again today, which is pack, so i gotta try and stop again i think :(
and the patch does not work for cloves by the way...

Those are the ones I want to get. And they do come in cherry & vanilla flavors. At least at the cigarette shop near my place. But damn, those are expensive. Like $5 a pack.

We used to have the world's best smoke shop in college. My favorite were hand-rolled blonde long-cut tobacco (Three Castles brand, which is no longer made).

Never got addicted, though, and in the past 12 years, I've smoked a grand total of 2 cigars and maybe 2 packs of cloves.

I used to smoke as a teenager. I stopped after a few years, best decision ever.

Tobacco/clove cigarettes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kretek). The cloves add a unique flavor, and they "crackle" when you inhale. Highly recommended. Of course, they'll cause you to get your ass kicked if you smoke them in crowds, because they're so pungent.

I smoked those or a variation of them, the long black ones, on occasion back in 1988 and thereabouts.
I got kicked out of a number of bars for smoking them in there. "We don't allow those to be smoked here" is what I was told. Those and my Mohawk hairstyle rubbed them the wrong way.

As a non-smoker, I like the smoking ban (well, duh :p) cuz when it was an all-smoke, I'd be a LOT more hungover the next day :sick: It is toxic to all of us in one way or another...

But when I start coughing up too much nasty shit in the morning, I briefly switch to, say, Winstons. Or Kool Milds. When I'm cheap, it's Maverick menthols. And, in general, I go through phases -- it's boring to always smoke the same brand.

I prefer my smokes in a soft pack, so I can do my slick move where I make one flick up halfway out of the pack so I can grab it with my mouth.

Roughly a pack a day.

I came so close to taking shotgun hits from this girl I know. She's been to jail several times since then, and my life is going along smoothly, so I guess saying no was the right choice. She just got out of jail again the other day. She likes to laugh about how she would keep me going for 2-3 days without sleep and very little food because of the "contact highs". I guess that must explain why I never seemed to get tired or hungry when hanging out with her. But now I won't be near the shit. Everyone who is around crack winds up with felonies on their records. Fortunately for me, alcohol has always been my fave drug, and it's perfectly legal.

when i first heard about those camel crushes, i was like "ooooh neat!!" and i bought two packs, but the novelty wore off pretty quick. they can be hard to crush! and i smoke menthols and sometimes id forget to crush them and start smoking and I'd be like "why does this not taste right.... ohhhh forgot to crush!" and so it became a pain in the ass. plus, when you do crush them to turn them menthol, they taste like a cheap menthol and not a regular camel menthol.
