Fans of The Wedding Present, the Kitchens Of Distinction and C-86 in general should look no further.
Heard these recently and have since bought most of their back catalogue which doesn't happen very often these days, just class!
Here's a great song from a few years back called 'I Just Froze'.

I remember seeing their album "Don't Disappoint Me Now" in a shop, but hadn't heard their songs.

Thank you very much for your tip. :)

As always, thanks for this Charlie!
And the re-release of their debut is on emusic--17 tracks. I would never have found it there. I like what I've heard. :)

Just got back from the gig, they're amazing!
The singer is very charismatic.
If they play gigs near you, go and see them. :)

I also enjoyed supporting band called The Postcard.
Their cover version of Orange Juice's Consolation Prize was very good.

Second supporting band Bristol's Kick Inside was OK.
One of the songs the guiar riff was the same as Pretty Girls Make Graves.

Ah sounds great, one benefit of living in London is everyone plays there.
Glad it wasn't crap. x

Just a one off that London gig.
I sent them a message and they kindly replied and said they'll hopefully be sorting some UK dates out.
Good news.
I've had their albums on constant rotation lately.
Cheers!

Well worth it - I love TWP and see them as often as I can but Southend on a Friday night is a bit of a trek. Are you coming to the DLG special at the West Yorkshire playhouse?
