Aye, Charlie Hunnam's cockney is comparable to Dick Van Dyke's in 'Mawwwie Poooopinns'. Bloodly terrible...and he's friggin British but he keeps slipping into a weird American/Aussie hybrid.

Never get a Geordie to do a Cockney (in more ways than one *fanarr fanarr*)

Just watched the film. Pile of cack..... the scene outsie the station at Manchester, where the united firm were waiting outside the station..... in a mob...... 20 minutes before the train arrived..... chanting loudly.... I don't think so..... why can't the film producers get football hooliganism right?
The mob would be in the local boozer, with a few under 18 scouts hanging outside the station. As soon as the away crew arrive, the scouts run to the pub and tell the firm. Firm come out and the argie bargie begins.

Charlie Hunnam should stick to films where he gets naked or plays a pretty boy...preferably naked...:o
I guess he tried to take a departure from what he would usually do, and it didn't work out, oh well...

The good thing about that station scene is the corporation of London sign in the background; it was filmed outside Fenchurch street station. It is truly a terrible film and disappointing that West Ham allowed it to be filmed inside the ground.

As for CASS, that could have been really good, Cass Pennett has an interesting story to tell and it is not hooligan lead, however it doesn’t work and it very slow in parts.

I love West Ham United as much as anything else in the world but these films really disappoint me, even 'The Firm' that was critically acclaimed pi**ed me off. I hate the supporters it attracts to the club and the trouble it attracts when you go to away games.

Anyway Morrissey is a Hammer……………….

Pop Quiz, The Pub that is set alight in Green Street is right next to and has the same name as another London football club's stadium, who?

I had the misfortune of watching some of this film; I do stay away from movies that glamorise football violence. One side you’ve got supporters and football clubs trying to move away from this idiotic behaviour on another you have film producers trying to cash in on the ‘lad culture’ that has grown up in the 90s and so on. What I saw of it, it was a load of actors being ‘ard and the being ‘cockney’ nonsense and the rather redundant story, for a more international appeal of have the lead character being American. At least it didn’t have Danny Dyer! I have seen interviews with real football hooligans and they are rather stupid. Shame they just can’t make a film that mocks them instead of making films about a male bonding and moral reputation with your ‘mates’ and the consequences of that violence, which never really works in these narratives, as the story line always seems full of clichés.

Great News Everyone!!

Synopsis:

Following the deadly climax of "Green Street Hooligans," several members of the West Ham firm and numerous members of Millwall end up in jail. The GSE quickly discover the brutality of life on the inside, as they are constant targets of the superior numbers and better-financed Millwall crew. Football on the inside and out is followed fervently by the prisoners and wins and losses by both are quickly followed by punishment or reward. This could mean a beating or an extra shower or a day of visitation, which inspires extreme behavior. When overcrowding compels a need for the early release of a fortunate few, fate brings West Ham and Millwall together again this time on a Pitch. The stakes are the highest they have ever been for all concerned with death or freedom quite literally a goal away. Game on
