I have no particular feelings about Julia either way, but she, and more importantly Moz' recognition of her, has been a pretty regular feature of live shows for a while now.

Sad news guys, seeing as I'm Australian I am "in" with the Dingo's - THEY HAVE JULIA! They are writing a list of demands as we speak but I can't go into further detail now I'm afraid, I've probably said too much already, lets just hope Julia can make it out of this dreadful situation so that she is able to tell Morrissey that she thinks he is amazing at least one more time!

I haven't heard any reports that she wasn't at any of the recent shows, but I also can't recall the last time I heard her get a shout-out.

I was at all three of the last shows and I didn't hear her mentioned. That's not to say she wasn't lurking somewhere..

Congrats to Julia if indeed she got married, and my condolences about the dingo situation :D

Although the dingos is an attractive theory, I have a firm belief that she's still there at every show as surely as there is smog in the Inland Empire.

Julia has not been standing in the center, though she is always up front, since about last year. She stands off to the right consistently. I don't know the reason for this, but I think it's possibly gracious that she doesn't take the center since she never queues anymore (Arturo lets her in before doors, so she has the pick of the barrier).

I go wherever I think gives me the best, not-as-crowded shot at the barrier, but I have a preference for the Boz side.

The first time I remember Moz NOT mentioning her at a show was at the HOB in Myrtle Beach last year. I may be wrong, but I have a distinct memory of the shock I had over it. It was such an incredible night -- Moz looking fabulous and suave in a tux, him singing an exquisite opening "Bye Bye Blackbird"... There were also two somewhat humiliating mic exchanges NOT involving Julia. ;)

I'm sure Julia was on the barrier in the centre at Wireless. I was to the right in front of Jesse and I looked over at one point and I'm sure she was there. I had an early entry ticket but I didn't see her in the special queue for these tickets and there was about 20 people in front of me. Maybe she got to go in a different entrance :confused:

Since when would general resentment and attacks towards Julia influence Moz to stop biggin' :p her up? That would just goad him on more to do it even more extravagantly, especially if the attacks originate from SoLow, don't you think?

Maybe he would respect her wishes if she asked him to tone it down, but for several reasons I don't think she asked him to do that.

i've been listening to some old bootlegs (2000-03-30: Luna Park Stadium, Buenos Aires, Argentina, more specifically). but some others as well. morrissey spends a lot of time between songs talking to someone named julia. but the way he addresses her it's as if she's in the audience.
i'm assuming it's just someone who followed the tour, but is there more to her than that?

if you look at some of the similar threads at the bottom of the page you should find your answer. she's just some woman who goes to pretty much every show.

I dunno, and i dont really care, what i do care about is the way she swans uup 10 mins before doors open, pushes in at the front of the queue and 'fake' chats to a couple of people then waits for arturo to let her in before those of us that have frozen our bits off ALL day. that IS out of order.

I listened to bootlegs, too, last autumn and got a real anger fit one day when I listened to one on my way to Düsseldorf. There was that JULIA again. And while I walked around Düsseldorf I was still thinking about it. Why on earth was she so often credited? She was just ONE of thousands of other people in the audience and all the others had been looking forward to the concert just as much as she did, if not more so. She many have given him much money individually, but not as much as all the others during one concert altogether, the ones who did not get personal credit. I had been to many concerts in my life and never ever was one single person so much singled out. Others only ever say that they are glad to see the regulars again and glad to see some familiar faces. One band has integrated them in their concerts so that they do little gimick things in between. :D
i have more video bootlegs than audio bootlegs but i can remember from the berlin audio he refers to someone named paul which i think is the ambitious outsiders singers cause i saw him in hamburg and remember his face cause he (tried to) emulate morrissey`s style...maybe a bit too much?;-)..but oh well..if he is happy with it...Moz prob. dont refer that much to him as he has (had) to Julia but paul seems to be someone who is an regular too..

I saw her a couple of times on the 2007 tour so I think I would recognize her if I saw her. I haven't seen her at any of the shows this tour. Nor has there been any "Julia" shout-outs or mic moments at any of the shows I've seen this tour.
