Oh, Hugh Laurie is one of my biggest heroes! I adore "House" ( last Sunday there was a marathon showing of "House" and I think I watched for 4 hours at least. I also find it interesting how British actors are so much better at doing an American accent than the other way around. I also wish I was as gruff as House. :) But that makes him all the more adorable. :D

I jumped on the bandwagon just about half a year ago and I don't know what season it is that's currently being aired in Germany, but I'm sure we're hopelessly behind, as always :mad: I usually don't watch anything but the originals (English) versions of series/movies, but I haven't been lucky with Dr House.

Anyway, I love it :) Hugh's absolutely priceless, I could never imagine anyone else for the role.

I love QI so, so much. (Alan Davies = <3 too) I've spent whole nights watching series of it too. That is brilliant, non-brainwashing/mind-numbing entertaiment! I wish german TV (esp. the station I work for *clears throat*) would take things like that as a 'role-model'.

I don't physically have any of his books, but I do have some audiobooks of them (read by him, of course) and they're so great, especially his autobiography Moab is my washpot.

I read "The Liar", then a few years later when I read "Moab" I realized how much of the Liar was based on Stephen's own life! Moab is one of my fave books (I find his fiction writing less good - sorry for the blasphemy ;)).

It took a bit of getting used to. His American accent is so good that I have to reacclimate myself to his natural English accent when he does interviews. The man is amazing.

I have to admit, I have got into the show quite a bit more over the last year, its really good.Thankfully, USA Network has brought me up to date with the series.
