Steven Patrick Morrissey

Steven Patrick Morrissey (IPA: /--m?r?si?/; born May 22, 1959), known simply by his surname Morrissey, is an English singer and songwriter from Manchester, England.

He is playing a couple of songs on Jools Holland this week, and me and The Mo intend to do the same.

We´re in town, London that is, been rehearsing ourselves dizzy, fingers bleeding, souls aching, we´re gonna be in the same room as an infamous vegetarian.

But I´m maybe even more exited about our first headline gig.

This thursday 7th we will tear this city to pieces, you haven´t seen the last of us vikings yet. The revolution is a fact, the place is 229, great portland street, the support is Cage The Elephant.

Gonna do some of our for-british-ears-not-too-over-exposed-tunes, like Keep Me Warm, Forgive Me, (its all about me) and maybe even We´re All Going To Hell (singalong-possibilities).

In Flight magazine, Sterling Magazine has an interview with a Norwegian singer named Ida Maria, who tells of her brief encounter with Morrissey at a Jools Holland show:

"I was ushered into his presence and he very politely shook my hand, and said some nice things about my music," says Ida Maria. "I was a bit thrilled - it's Morrissey, isn't it, and he's like a living God - but I was rather shocked that he smelt like he'd dived into a bathtub of aftershave. There was like a wall of fragrance around him. Woooof! It was actually pretty disgusting."
