I think Connery was the perfect Bond for his time.

I thought the Bond series was dead but Daniel Craig, and the writers, have totally re-invented the character. They have humanized him, given him vulnerabilities, and room to act. I went into Casino Royale ready to hate it but was totally won over by Daniel Craig. Bond is back!

Lazenby made a very decent Bond in a very decent movie. Keep in mind he was the original heir to the Bond throne and would have been had Connery not decided to return. Besides On Her Majesty's Secret Service was an amazing movie. The Dalton movies were bleh in my opinion. It is claimed that they were closer to "book" Bond but I disagree. The Craig "bond" did a far better job of returning Bond to "Book - Bond".

I prefer Dalton to Lazenby but I understand your point. We never got to see Lazenby's full potential. Still, he seemed a bit too plastic for my taste.

Brosnan looked the part, but he was stuck in some terrible scripts. "Die Another Day" was so bad I actually stopped watching it, a first for a Bond movie.

Dalton (just didn't have the "it")
Lazenby (that kilt killed it for me)

Craig has a darker more sinister edge to him. Basically (and in some ways unfortunately) it was almost as if the Broccoli's watched 5 seasons of "24" and made a british version of Jack Bauer.

Thing is ... I like 24.

Daniel Craig, by FAR. Of course everyone is going to say, Sean Connery, but I was really impressed by the "Casino Royale"- he even did his own stunts, like that running scene in the first part of the film. Plus he's decidedly FRINKY :horny: Plus, I hated Dalton because he looked like a pussy boy butt slave. Brosnan was too pretty.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is probably one of the best Bond films made, and If Connery had been in the film, it would be the best.

The new (Craig) films are just completely out of continuity, so I don't even consider them "Bond" films. Just some new guy with the same name.
