Mine is probably watching movies that were made in the 30's-60's. I can't get enough of them. To me, they really knew how to make a movie back then, that is real entertainment. Those actors were and are timeless classics with such beauty and elegance.

Depends on how you define gross. In my pre-veg days, I ate (and liked) blood sausages over in there in the UK; the thought of that now sickens me. These days I'm particularly fond of natto, which is definitely an acquired taste--they're like rotten soybeans that somebody has spooged all over. See?

Haven't had any for a while. My kids like it, too, but the mucus is damn hard to get off your fingers afterwards.
I've been meaning to whip up a batch of this myself sometime.

Stymie ate a beetle once. We told him it was liquorice.
About the time his stomach began to churn, his eyes grew large & bugged and steam came out his ears. He burned a trail of fire to the outhouse. Don't you just love Our Gang? :)

Sauerkraut can actually be quite delicious depending on the brand. The type of sauerkraut can make or break a hotdog.
fridaynightinoutpatients January 2, 2008, 04:04 AM My family and I were once in the local market and there was this horrible smell at the check-out. I mean foul. While we were wondering "Hey, what's that awful odor of death", I noticed a puddle of juice directly underneath the check-out conveyer belt. When I pointed out the collection of juice to the worker, they lifted this little compartment to find an old bag of kraut.
I will never, ever eat sauerkraut again.

Until you've carefully shredded a head of cabbage into thin strips, sprinkled it with sea salt and caraway seeds, pulverized the living hell out of it with your bare hands until your knuckles sting from the rough grains of salt and the cabbage's own juices rise to cover the battered slices, then watched it bubble in the summer heat for a week, you have not tasted real sauerkraut. Forget that store-bought shit.

mell January 2, 2008, 07:42 PM 1) Watching old comedies on dvds (either American or British)
2) watching the old TV show, Dark Shadows. I have 21 box sets of it but, they've already released up to 26. I have to get my arse moving to get the rest.
3) Going to gigs of any kind (except death metal or gangsta rap).
4) volunteering in the community @ various organizations to actually HELP people.
5) playing old board games & cards
6) going to see Independent movies about band's lives @ this independent theater in Philly.
7) collecting old vinyls, books & magazine clippings on various bands that I love.
8) going to ice hockey games of our local hometown (basketball too)
9) playing pool, tennis, badmitton & bowling yet, I suck at them all

11) watching any form of psychological thrillers, gothic fiction (reading them too)
12) collecting certain types of recipe books
13) arts & crafts of anykind (even though mine suck)
