In the 4.5 (god) years I have been at my current job, I have only ever gone along to one work function. I would rather chew my own arm off. :)

Just because I work with these people, doesn't mean I want to socialise with them. With the exception of 2 or 3 work friends, I'd rather keep my social life separate. I have nothing in common with 97% of them.

Hope you all had a good Hogmanay and that this year is good to you, to friends and family, and that you are good to them.

EXACTLY, but try telling them this, i had to try and get out of it today, but there not having any of it, i could just not turn up, but someone is collecting me and i'll need a lift back (no car at mo) so i will have to end up satying till someone whos coming this way leaves./..
god im dreading it, and they'll all be eating flesh, i'll just ahve to poke at my food and pretend to eat some (i will be having veggie of course, but i dont trust places to use seperate utensils etc).
