I'm sure we all have them. Certain guilty pleasures. For me, it would have to be probably the pet shop boys...or maybe Tears for Fears, as I particularly like "Head over Heels", which is on the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

Whaaaat?! I love Gwen & No Doubt! If they're gonna stone you, then they've gotta stone me too. :D
Maroon 5 and Kelly are okay.

I think the CDs I should be embarrassed to own include Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and the new Britney one.

As much as I hate to admit it, I like Blink 182's "Dude Ranch." The Go-Go's are another guilty pleasure, though less guilty because both Belinda Carlisle (Though for only about a day.) and Donna Rhia were in the Germs.

I was just telling someone earlier today that I used to really love No Doubt, and that I saw them live back in 99 or so. also, that i wouldve TOTALLY done Gwen Stefani back in the day. especially with her pink hair.... :p

I was telling someone that my roommate went on an iTune rampage and downloaded all of his rap CDs onto it. HAHA...I know have every WuTang, Snoop, Eminem and Dre song on my iPod. LOL Reminds me of when I was in high school drinking 40s and smoking blunts...I thought I was cool. Luckily, I grew out of that phase...though I am listening to Wu-Tang's 'Ain't Nuthin Ta Fuck Wit' right now! *hangs head in shame* LOL

Love the Furs!! Nothing shameful there.
I've seen them/Richard Butler a coupla times (does that negate my Kelly Clarkson concert? :p). One of my best friend's is obsessed with them/RB. She is the one friend who totally gets, understands, supports and encourages my Moz obsession. She always tells people "Richard Butler is to me what Morrissey is to Cor" :)

I hide nothing when it comes to musical tastes. Most people forget the stereotype that is perceived about Moz fans.

My latest listening is focused around what is considered lounge music, hipster bar music.

Been listening to Seu Jorge since watching The Life Aquatic. I have gone to see Jimmy Buffett probably more than I have seen Morrissey and I love my share of hip/hop rap. Tupac continues to shine but at least for those two albums Biggy > 2Pac. And... never question my devotion to the DMB, U2, Jam Bands and Jack Johnson. They are chill and get me through my morning commute as much as that pompa-doored guy from Manchester.

You all know I like Sinatra right?

Disturbing was last week when I was searching all of Long Island for a Nintendo DS as a Christmas present for my brother. I was outside the Toys R Us Parking lot and our local classic rock 104.3 was playing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon... They started it up with Speak to Me/Breathe and I had to simply here the whole track. I had one leg out of the car as I sat back listening to it. When it was over there were a few people that stood there listening to it as well. (I didn't realize it)

Don't have to suck in the weed wizzle Snoop Dee Oh Double Gizzle style my Nug-zizzle to appreciate and not hate the musi-kizzle.

That newer member Jim Rome directed me to a DMB forum that is pretty new. I have been downloading like gangbusters before his lawyers shut it down. DMB encourages taping at the shows and trading but not what is over there. I actually have gotten a LOT of song demos and radio interview covers that I have been looking for. Dave is a beatles fan and some of his covers are amazing. He brings a tragic Elliott Smith feel to In My Life that is unimaginable unless you hear it.

I`m glad you agree...i thought it was because I`m edging closer to forty that I might be suffering some kind of mid life crisis.

I promise never to listen to Barry Manilow though.:p

Well, I'm 41 so maybe I'm senile & you shouldn't compare yourself to me. HA HA! But Diamond is a legend. I agree on Barry... not a Barry girl, myself.

Speaking of 'legend'... does else anyone here like John Legend?!!

No, Neil Diamond kicks ass. Too bad his vocal range sucks nowadays. I'm not embarrassed by him in the slightest.

Here's one for you guys and gals to judge: I have a Gordon Lightfoot Greatest Hits CD, and I love it. "Carefree Highway, Rainy Day People, I You Could Read My Mind..." Love it!:)

They're not bands, and I'm quite happy to say I enjoy their music, although some people take the piss (half-heartedly)....ok maybe this isn't the thread for me but...anyone else like:

Pussycat Dolls
Mariah Carey
Timbaland

One of the first records I bought was Hippychick by Soho, little realising it was a sample of a band called The Smiths...
