mell December 19, 2007, 01:07 AM umm sorry, I'm really grossed out!!!
(that's Britney's 16 yr old younger sis for those of you that don't know. I know nobody cares, but I'm shocked.)
the judge December 19, 2007, 01:31 AM I thought it was Britney's mother, to be honest.
Very interesting. It must have been the big sistah influence.

Yes, Britney's younger sis is the star of a show for kids/teens on Nickelodeon. Wholesome family entertainment really is a thing of the past.

No, I take that back..STUPID MOTHER....First she throws Brit-Brit into the fire when she was young, doesn't seem to help her lately with her issues and now lets her 16 shack up with a 19 year old...
stupid skag...
Buzzetta December 19, 2007, 05:21 AM Well look at the bright side. We know that the kid will be in no danger of being improperly fastened with a seatbelt in a car since Jamie is too young to drive. On top of that I think the whole experience will be cute for Brittney's and Jamie's kids. The cousins can be neglected together.
Aside: I am so going to hell.

I don't know. Preggers how was the hangover this morning?
Dave December 19, 2007, 06:29 AM I put in average age to marry 1850, just picking that date at random.
http://i1.tinypic.com/73n1uhe.png
The story we see here (http://matthewyglesias.theatlantic.com/archives/2007/07/independent_woman.php) is that in 1890 men waited until the relatively old age of 26.1 years before getting married -- perhaps representing the time at which they could acquire some land and support a family, and they married substantially younger women -- 22 years old on average. Over time, growing prosperity led the first marriage age for men to drop steadily and substantially to 22.8 in both the 1950 and 1960 snapshots. At the same time, women's age at first marriage declined steadily and slightly to 20.3, giving us the "traditional" (i.e., postwar) family.
At this point, the trends reverse and average age at first marriage rises steadily. By 1980, women are getting married at the 1890 age again, though men are still getting married younger than their 1890s counterparts. By 1990, however, 1890 marriage ages are back in style for men, and women are getting married later than their 1890s counterparts. By 2000, at 26.8 men are getting married slightly later than they did back in the way, but women at 25.1 years old are now getting married way than either midcentury or late 19th century women. From 2000-2003, ages continue to creep upwards for both genders, and after that I have no data.
************************************************** *****
This is not what I thought. Somehow I thought that people used to marry at a younger age. I guess in the 1950's and 1960's they did.

Well, no chance of Jamie Lynn getting an Oscar nod in this lifetime...so why wait? Might as well f*ck up the world some more by popping out yet another trailertrash Spears offspring now.
I always thought she'd outdo her sister someday. I just thought it would be in the performing arena...not in the 'the courts are taking my baby away because I'm an unfit mother' category. But oh well, I guess sibling rivalry is a natural thing.
The Seeker of Good Songs December 19, 2007, 07:30 PM I'm always surprised at the teens getting knocked up. I mean it isn't that easy to get pregnant, only a few days per month are prime, so they must be banging non stop. That, and which is probably more the case...just plain stupid.

I hear those kids already have mouths full of cavities since their momma gives them bottles filled with soda. Classy!
Here's the latest report about Jamie Lynn from Perez Hilton:
Trouble in white trash paradise!
Just as we welcomed the joyous news that sixteen-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant with the first of many accidental children, come reports that there is drama with the babydaddy.
Britney's little sister and her older boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, are on the rocks, Life & Style is reporting.
The mag claims that the two are no longer seeing each other.
“Jamie Lynn and Casey are NOT together," a source close to the pair tells Life & Style. "They’ve broken up numerous times, but he was her first and she kept taking him back," says the insider. They’re not dating now. He's really got nothing to offer this baby. He's a kid himself. They have no plans to get married. At this point, Jamie Lynn has asked her mom — and not Casey — to be in the delivery room with her.”
Who needs a daddy?
Jamie Lynn should raise that baby single and with many boyfriends coming in and out of her life.
Oh yeah, she should home school it too!
Britney could be the tutor!
WinkWink December 21, 2007, 08:39 AM i didn't know this girl existed until this story. so obviously she, with the consent of her manager, agent, parents, got herself pregnant to generate publicity.

mell December 27, 2007, 08:17 AM What the....?!!! This was posted on Perezhilton.com...GROSS!
Casey Aldridge is NOT the father of Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby
The father of Jamie Lynn Spears baby is NOT boyfriend Casey Aldridge, according to shocking reports from the U.S.
News that Britney’s sister was pregnant at 16 - under the legal age for sex in the U.S. - forced 18-year-old Casey into hiding.
But now Star magazine insists that the teenager may not be the dad - and that Spears’ friends and family think it is an older man who would face statutory rape charges.
Friends have said that Jamie Lynn was no longer even seeing Casey - and family members told Star that they believe the real father is a much older executive at her children’s TV show ‘Zoey 101′.
“Casey is being paid off to be the family’s fall guy while the real father remains unidentified,” Star magazine insists.
They say the real reason is that an older man could be charged with statutory rape if revealed to be the father of an under-aged girl’s baby.
But in Jamie Lynn’s home state of Louisiana, Casey would escape charges because a 16-year-old can legally have sex with someone less than two years older than her. “Conveniently, Casey falls under the bar by just 26 days.
“The man many suspect is the father, however, would face charges and probably prison time if he were to come forward and admit he had sex with her,” Star magazine states.
The magazine quotes “two separate Spears family insiders” who believe the father is someone who works on Jamie Lynn’s kids’ show. “Jamie Lynn has been working on Zoey since she was 13,” one of the sources said. “In Hollywood, little girls grow up fast, and she is no exception.
“With everything that has gone on in her family, she needed someone to look up to.
“But the man she found seems to have completely taken advantage of her.”
Another family source added: “Some of us have doubts as to the legitimacy of the claim that Casey is the father.
“Before the news of the pregnancy, how often did you see them together?
“Jamie Lynn has dated Casey on and off over the past two years.
“But it was not steady. In fact, she was looking to date Kevin Federline’s brother about a year ago.
“Jamie Lynn went through a time of partying, and Casey was just a part of that.”
Even Casey recently posted on his own MySpace that he was feeling “blah” about his love life, and added: “Me and Jamie are over…”
In fact, Star claims he had a pregnancy scare with a different girl and had to confess to Jamie Lynn. “Casey is a serial cheater who has lied to Jamie Lynn time and time again,” a close friend told the magazine. “This past spring, he was forced to tell Jamie Lynn that he’d cheated on her and gotten that girl pregnant.”
In fact, Star even insists Casey was openly dating yet another girl at the same time as he was supposed to be romancing Spears. “Yes, my sister is dating Casey - they’ve been dating for a while,” said Kevin Seals of his sister Whitney Seals.
“I know Jamie Lynn was real jealous about Whitney’s relationship with Casey.”
No matter who the father is, insiders believe the pregnancy will be the death knoll for Jamie Lynn’s burgeoning career. It will leave them terrified that she will prove to be the new Britney - and also that Nickelodeon, the TV channel behind Zoey 101, will be terrified of ruining its clean-cut image.
“I cant think of any way that Nickelodean could keep Jamie Lynn’s show on the air, said PR expert Michael Levine.
“If they do, advertisers will drop it like crazy. No advertiser wants to be associated with a minor getting pregnant.”
Dave December 27, 2007, 08:22 AM What would be perfect is if it was "Justin" and Jamie and Justin took Brit Brit on Jerry Springer to tell her.
Buzzetta December 28, 2007, 07:42 PM Update on this story.
Lynne Spears at least had the decency to tell the only responsible parent of her grandchildren. K-Fed was notified of Jamies pregnancy before Brittney. Now that is funny.
Corrissey December 29, 2007, 12:21 AM I don't know what rag I was reading while waiting for my car at Jiffy Lube yesterday (hold your jokes, people) but Jamie Lynn was on the cover and I leafed thru the story to the Q&A with her Mom... did you know that Jamie Lynn told her Mom she was pregnant by handing her a note?! Her Mom then went into the next room where the dad who is not the dad? was and she asked 'Is this true?!' and he just shook his head yes. Ok, now you may resume joking
AmgoingtoseeMoz December 29, 2007, 06:18 AM What a total mess. I really feel sorry for Jamie Lynn and Brit and I also feel like they should know better too!
Dave December 29, 2007, 07:33 AM I don't feel sorry. If you look at what Britney could do with her money, the kind of lifestyle she could have, and the opportunity to get a real education and travel, learn and work on her career. She just drives around being photographed acting like a fool. There's no reason to feel sorry for her.
The sister must be just as dumb if she wants to be like Britney. That's probably what she has been taught to do and want, but she is old enough to think for herself just a little bit, and she deserves to have some of the responsibility placed on her.
The best thing was when that girl attacked them at the Starbucks and told them to stay out of her neighborhood. We should all follow that girl's example and tell them to get lost.

Hey in all honesty ... accidents happen... cannot fault the girl. She should have known better, she should have she should have done what? Its all bullshit. Accidents happen and to tell the truth she is stepping up instead of taking a career sensitive move.
Everyone says she is going to be washed up because of this. You think she does not know that?
And kids.... anyone who is a parent reading this.... If you do not think children are messing around at that age... well you are delusional. It shocks me to the age that things go on.
Dave December 29, 2007, 08:32 AM No, what I wrote originally was a lot more harsh. There are people that this happens to that don't have the money to pay for good prenatal care, and that might not know anything about how to get help.
She knows where babies come from and if she wanted one there's no reason to feel sorry and if she didn't she had access to birth control. When there are people that actually deserve sympathy I have none for her.
I'm not condemning her for having unprotected sex, but I'm not pitying her either. If anyone naturally feels some sympathy for her I don't have a problem with that. Personally though, I think feeling sympathy for this person that has every advantage except intelligence is a real waste.

I agree w/this point. She's a brave girl for making such a tough decision.
One of my best friends who's 30 just got pregnant by accident (she's been with her BF for 1 year now) because she's a total idiot and wasn't using any form of birth control. She chose to have an abortion and now she's totally f*cked up in the head about the whole thing. In some weird twisted way, I think that's worse than Jamie Lynn...because she's definitely old enough to know better.

That's true...but come on! To use the rhythm method? No. (I worked with a Catholic guy who used the rhythm method and ended up with 4 kids within 6 years.) I've actually never known anyone who was using condoms or the pill accidentally get pregnant because the odds are so significantly lowered. Plus, most women by the time they are 30 probably know their body well enough to know when they could be ovulating...so my friend was an idiot!!!

I dont think its unfair to say Mrs. Spears has failed her children. I firmly believe her pushing has in some part led them to their respective messes they deal with today. At least they make cute children so far!
Cassius April 4, 2008, 11:32 PM WOW
they could be twins
and, well I know a girl at 15 that's pregnant. It'll be ok, because both parents are in families that will support them.
BUT, a friend of mine tells me she's probably pregnant, with her bf, that is 18, a drugisist and has a baby at 5, that he's had not much to do with:tears: I hope things will turn out well for her, and that she's not pregnant.
I just wanna say:

That is good advice bikie. It's six dollars for a box versus a lifetime of consequences.
I hope everything turns out okay for your friend bikie. :(

I think there's definetly problems with her mother, but on the other hand there's children with much worse parents who don't end up sixteen and pregnant.

xLonelyPlanetBoyx April 5, 2008, 12:08 AM There were 4 pregnant girls in my high school class within 2 years. One of them actually decided to have a second child the year after she had her first, which was in our sophomore year.

this poor kid. she barely got that drivers license and now shes gonna be a mom! i blame her stagemother.
Im not slamming teen pregnancies. it happens. I'm slamming teen millionaires that are pregnant for making less than awesome decisions. most unawesome decision is the engagement!
Sorry, but I blame her. If she wanted to get pregnant and she did, it's none of my business, but if we're saying that this is a bad thing, and something that just happened to her, then she is responsible, along with the father, of course.
No, saying that someone that willingly has sex and gets pregnant is some kind of victim creates an atmosphere that encourages a lack of responsibility.
chica April 5, 2008, 06:48 AM However...
Isn't it a bit paternalistic to blame her at all? It's her life, you don't go around blaming people for how they choose to live it...
I mean, I do, but I don't believe in that 'freedom' you Americans are bragging about :guitar::D
Dave April 5, 2008, 08:45 AM With freedom comes responsibility. I don't have time to keep up with this one, because I'm busy with Britney, and I'm not one of the people saying that she's setting a bad example or anything. That's all her personal business (http://www.usmagazine.com/jamie_lynn_spears_furious_father_spends_christmas_ apart_from_family). I just don't see her as a victim. It's not being judgmental. It's just that she must have as much access to information as almost anyone her age. Unless she is the victim of a defective birth control device, then she's not really a victim.
I saw a lot of people here when we talked about this last time that disagree.
Some men also say that women "trap" them through unprotected sex and intentionally getting pregnant. How do you feel about that? Is the man a victim? If not then the woman can't be a victim either.
Now, the one thing that might make her somewhat of a victim is not her pregnancy, but her age. (http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/12/19/spears.statutory.rape/index.html)
So maybe I was being stupid and missing the point in the first place. It says "This child" in the heading. There was also a rumor that the father is not her 18 year old boyfriend, but a much older man (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/506719/the_real_father_of_jamie_lynn_spears.html) that works at Nickelodeon.
When I went looking for info on that I found this story instead.
Dozens of children removed from polygamist ranch (http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/04/04/texas.ranch/index.html#cnnSTCText)
ELDORADO, Texas (CNN) -- Authorities say they removed 52 children, ages 6 months to 17 years, from a West Texas ranch occupied by followers of imprisoned polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs.
Eighteen girls have been placed in the temporary custody of the state under a court order, said Child Protective Services spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner.
Authorities said they continue to search the 1,900-acre YFZ ranch, and at least one suspect is being sought by police.
Meisner said troopers and child welfare officials arrived at the secluded ranch Thursday evening with arrest and search warrants. They were responding to a report of "physical abuse" and neglect involving a 16-year-old girl. Video Watch an Eldorado neighbor talk about the raid »
Another Child Protective Services spokesman, Darrell Azar, said the 18 girls were placed in state custody because it appeared they "had been abused or were at immediate risk of future abuse."
Law enforcement and child welfare officials were at the ranch all night Thursday and throughout Friday. Meisner said the search was expected to continue into the night.
No arrests had been made by early Friday evening, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman said in a recorded message.

* KWES: Sheriff: Investigators take girls away (http://www.kwes.com/Global/story.asp?S=8119046)
According to the search warrant, authorities are seeking Dale Barlow, 50, who they suspect of having married and fathered a child with a 16-year-old girl.
Law enforcement agencies raided the ranch Thursday night after receiving a Monday report that a 16-year-old girl had been "sexually and physically abused," said Azar.
The warrant cited an "immediate need" for authorities to have access to the 16-year-old and an 8-month-old child with either the last name of Barlow or the girl's last name. It instructs law enforcement officers to look for any records showing Barlow and the girl were married and any evidence of them having a child.
The children were taken in two borrowed church buses from the ranch to a civic center near Eldorado.
The people living at the ranch are cooperating, authorities said.
Jeffs, the 52-year-old leader and "prophet" of the 10,000-member church, was convicted in Utah last year and sentenced to 10 years on two counts of being an accomplice to rape, charges related to a marriage he performed in 2001. He faces trial in Arizona on eight charges of sexual conduct with a minor, incest and conspiracy.
Jeffs' Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints bought the land near Eldorado four years ago and built the ranch, which they call the YFZ Ranch. The letters are said to refer to the words Yearning for Zion.
It is home to as many as 400 members who relocated from their Arizona and Utah compounds.
State and local law enforcement agencies set up roadblocks around the ranch Thursday evening, preventing journalists from seeing what was happening on the property, according to Randy Mankin, editor of the Eldorado Success weekly newspaper.
"This came totally out of the blue," Mankin said.
There were no indications of violence around the ranch, he said.
When CNN crews have visited the ranch, it was guarded by armed men equipped with night vision gear and other high-tech surveillance tools to prevent intruders.
When CNN flew over the ranch in a small plane last year, the crew saw a massive temple, the three-story housing units where Jeffs' chosen followers live, the water tower, the school and community center, the dairy and cheese factory and a massive concrete mill.

The church openly practices polygamy in two towns straddling the Arizona-Utah state line -- Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Arizona -- but members living on their Texas ranch rarely venture into Eldorado, four miles to the south.
Critics of the sect say that it arranges marriages for girls as young as 13 and that competition for brides may be reduced through exiling young men. If male followers are excommunicated, the critics claim, their wives and children can be reassigned to someone else.
Dave April 5, 2008, 09:11 AM you do like celeb news, don't you Mr dave?
I do. I only like the crazy ones like Paris and Britney though. There are no real stars anymore.

This is bullshit! Why did this thread get combined with that stupid old thread? Mine wasn't even about the 'news' of it. just how young she looks.
i see your point about all the blaming her instead of her parents but seriously... her mom's got a lot of influence on her, very controlling, i wouldnt be surprised if she got preggo for a wack reason like how she controls that situation, not her mother. i still put a lot of blame on mama spears.
I want my thread SEPARATED from this crap thread from December!!!!
