Hey there, everyone...I thought I'd start my own little poetry thread (I don't wanna invade anyone elses!)
So anyhoo....Here's a new one of mine:

Red Eyes

Red eyed photography
Hinting towards their vast supremacy
Leaving here, without a word or motion of kindness
A ginger step is taken to make amends

Halted at the door
Relief is felt, as the other side is a mystery
But there’s a feeling of a need to advance
So the secret can be a secret no longer

Where do you turn for salvation?
In books of empty pages, empty words
Delight is taken in all contradictions
That your fiction leads you to believe is fact

A thunder of movement
Brought on by the outside invasion
Red eyed heathenry can no longer be clandestine
Here you are, naked with all but your clothes

The gems disappear from powerful rings
The red eyes of the burning fires
Will cleanse all that are pushed into it
Mercurial energy is no help in this hour

Bellowing fires
Red eyed reflection
Teasing onlookers guffaw
At the end of the ungodliness

Let me know what you think (And yes, I know it doesn't rhyme! :p :D)

Believe me, I'm not the only one.

That's not true, I like it too. :)

EDIT:
Believe me, I'm not the only one.
Strangey right as always. :D

I thought I'd put another poem on here (perhaps to general apathy, but who knows! :D) Here goes:

Today Of All Days

To feel happy today
To relent
To yield
Today of all days

Revealing the relevant parts
Silencing the wagging tongues
To patronise
To condescend
Today of all days

Higher in the sky more than I was
Yesterday, I was more than what I am today
To bless
To consecrate
Today of all days

With a spin, the delicate shatters to the ground
Leaving behind the shards in my eyes
To be blind
To be silent
Today of all days

Sharpening the knives behind my back
Craving for a word out of place
Today
Silence rains down now and forever
Today
Living without a voice, sitting, eyes wide shut
Today of all days

Not quite poetry... but then I never do seem to fit into boxes, even when they are as big and flexible as the poetry box... but here goes. I wrote it a few years ago in Pune at Osho International Meditation Resort. It was kind of a magical time for me. :)

A Page Out of My Diary
Love is only when we are not. One cannot force the slightest reassuring glance indicating continuity, regard, understanding, or even playfulness. I'm not the type to leave my destiny to what man has come to call "fate" – but in a case like this I can do nothing else. The only responsibility is not to spill the oil in the cup, even while walking through picturesque mountains, or along the tightrope.
When he and I meet, the idea is never in the mind that we will, should, or even can. The mind does not grasp the situation until much later, if ever. Let the mind rest. May he never attempt to grab hold! Only in this way remain innocent, aware, and most of all respectful, of whatever it is that guides life on such mysterious, unpredictable, and at times seemingly intricately designed paths toward . . .

(The sun is reflected, dancing off a single strand of white hair- blown by soft wind. The same wind rustles leaves and inspires the discourses of the bamboo.)

Daybreak, cracks of blue and gold in the dark of night. And why is it that when drought is broken by thick, heavy drops of rain that soak my robe and hair with just a few hits . . .
why is it that
they all come
at once?
Where is the balance?
What to say of this narrow
and dangerous path?
I can only say
that the places wide enough
For two to walk hand in hand
Appear to be few
and far between

That is really nice, well done. I haven't written a poem for ages...lacking some of the inspiration I use to have.

Love PTxx.
